Abstract:
Devices and methods for performing CPR on a patient within an imaging field of an imaging device. The device has a compression belt and a belt tensioning mechanism, both located on or in the device such that the head, neck, thorax and abdomen of the patient may be place within the imaging field with the compression belt installed about the patient and the belt tensioning mechanism will be located outside of the imaging field.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for rehabilitation and training of an injured limb by using the corresponding functional healthy limb to control the motion of the injured limb are presented. A sensor system on the healthy and active limb, a processing unit, and a power supply are provided in the apparatus to provide signals that activate a powered mechanism configured for moving individual bones on the injured passive limb.
Abstract:
There is provided a device (100) for the treatment of adhesive capsulitis in a joint of a patient, the device (100) comprising a driven manipulation effector (115) adapted to contact a part of the body of the patient corresponding to the joint, wherein the device (100) is adapted such that the manipulation effector (115) moves in accordance with a point-to-point motion profile.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a knee rehabilitation device, comprising a foot assist that can be attached to the leg, and a motion device which moves the assist in a given direction. The essence of the invention lies in that the leg is supported in a heel case (1) placed on the heel, where the heel case (1) is coupled to an appropriate frame, and the device contains an actuator that moves the leg set in the heel case (1) in a vertical direction with given amplitude, and the actuator is joined to the axis of a motor (15), which is coupled to a control unit (16).
Abstract:
Supporting assembly comprising a staircase (1) with treads (2) having tread nosings and a supporting device with a rail (3) mounted at one of the sides of said staircase, the supporting device comprising a carriage (5) movable along the rail, a carriage drive for moving the carriage along the rail between an upper part of the staircase and a lower part of the staircase, a support bracket (6) mounted on the carriage to support a person (16) walking on the staircase and a control system to control the supporting device. The tread line connects the tread nosings of the staircase and the rail and the carriage are located near the tread line and a substantially vertical bar (7) extends above the carriage and couples the support bracket to the carriage.
Abstract:
An apparatus for reanimation of a patient, comprising a plunger (3) which is driven by a drive means (1,2) to perform a compressive massage on the patient's body, and a holding device for the drive means (1,2) and the plunger (3), wherein the holding device includes a vertically adjustable cross-member (31) on which the drive means (1,2) and the plunger (3) are mounted and which is supported on a reanimation board.
Abstract:
A control system for controlling an exoskeleton worn by a user and having one or more actuators associated with various body members of the exoskeleton each corresponding to a body part of the user. The control system comprises a user interface for receiving input data indicative of a desired movement sequence, a memory component for storing pre-programmed movement data indicative of one or more sequential instructions required to effect the movement sequence, each instruction being associated with relative actuator movements for performing the instruction, and an actuator controller for moving the one or more actuators according to the relative actuator movements for each instruction. The control system also comprises a terrain sub-system for adjusting the actuator movements upon detection of a change in terrain slope and a balance control sub-system for periodically adjusting the balance of the exoskeleton during relative movement of the one or more actuators.
Abstract:
A device for compressive treatment of a body part comprises a compression member (20), adapted to at least partly encircle the body part, and an actuation unit (10), arranged to tighten the compression member to provide a compressive force to the body part . The actuation unit comprises an active material actuator. There is also disclosed a system comprising such a device and methods for its therapeutic, cosmetic and non-therapeutic use and operation.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an automated cardiopulmonary resuscitation device for cyclically compressing a patient's chest. The CPR device comprises a front structure with a first and a second movable unit arranged to move back and forth along said front structure; a back support for positioning behind the patient's back arranged to keep the front structure in a fixed position relative to the patient's back; a chest pad; two arms each rotatably coupled to the chest pad with one end and each being rotatably coupled to a respective one of the first and the second movable units; and a motor arranged for, when in operation, driving the first and the second movable units back and forth such that the chest pad cyclically compresses the patient's chest.
