Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of 1,4-butanediol mononitrate as intermediate for large scale preparation of high purity nitrooxybutyl ester of pharmaceutically active compounds.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a process for preparing a compound of general formula (A), as reported in the description, wherein R is a radical of a drug and R1-R12 are hydrogen or alkyl groups, m, n, o, q, r and s are each independently an integer from 0 to 6, and p is 0 or 1, and X is O, S, SO, SO2, NR13 or PR13 or an aryl, heteroaryl group, said process comprising reacting a compound of formula (B) R—COOZ (B) wherein R is as defined above and Z is hydrogen or a cation selected from: Li+, Na+, K+, Ca++, Mg++, tetralkylammonium, tetralkylphosphonium, with a compound of formula (C), as reported in the description, wherein R1-R12 and m, n, o, p, q, r, s are as defined above and Y is a suitable leaving group.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of stably separating cyclohexyl nitrate by preventing cyclohexyl nitrate from thermally decomposing in separating cyclohexyl nitrate from an organic substance containing cyclohexyl nitrate by steam distillation. SOLUTION: The method of separating cyclohexyl nitrate from an organic mixture containing cyclohexyl nitrate by steam distillation comprises carrying out the steam distillation in a manner that the liquid temperature of the bottom of a distillation column 1 is set at not higher than 182°C and the concentration of the cyclohexhyl nitrate in a bottom product to be drawn from the bottom of the column comes to not more than 45 mass% by the cyclohexyl nitrate concentration in an organic phase separated from an aqueous phase. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimal method for preparing a nitrate of a monohydric alcohol. SOLUTION: The present invention provides the method for preparing the nitrate of the monohydric alcohol. In the preparation method, the monohydric alcohol or a mixture of monohydric alcohols is converted to the ester by nitric acid under adiabatic reaction conditions in the presence of sulfuric acid.
