Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide an accurate and highly reliable device for centering and locking a tool-supporting frame of a die-cutting machine so as to mount and dismount it speedily. CONSTITUTION: A device for centering and locking a tool-supporting frame 20 has two centering points and one centering and locking point, and the centering points and the centering and locking point are provided with a first and a second centering and locking devices 59. This device is attached to a receive base 6 whose one end can travel and includes a flexible rod 62 provided with a handle 67 fixed on a locking block 63 which is moved manually from a locking position to a locking release position in an insertion square member 68. The flexible rod 62 passes through a slot for centering point and an upper part of a centering and locking lump member 61 engaged with a slot for the centering and locking point and a bore 34. The first and second centering and locking devices 59 can operate individually or simultaneously.

The rising limit of the glue applying unit 20 is determined on the basis of the adjustable direction of the cam 42.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To easily align when the kind of blanks is changed by directly connecting a higher beam of a higher carrier with a lower pin of a lower carrier through a bracket, mounting the exit end of the lower beam on a frame and moving the entrance end in the direction of moving away from a guide rail. CONSTITUTION: A higher lengthwise beam 43 of a higher carrier is directly connected with a lower lengthwise beam 30 of a lower carrier through a bracket 50. A lengthwise beam 12 is supported on the upper section of a vertical blade 10, and a lengthwise guide rail 14 is supported on the beam 12. The exit end of the lower lengthwise beam 30 is mounted on a fixed section of the frame 10 in the vicinity of the guide rail 14 and can be pivoted in the lateral direction. The entrance end of the lower lengthwise beam 30 can be moved in the lateral direction by a screw 56. The screw 56 is held by the vertical plate 10 and engaged with a screw 55 attached to an extension plate 33 of the lengthwise beam 30.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To permit scanning of small registration marks, adaptability to a paper web traveling at a high speed, detection of vertical and horizontal registration errors and simplification of construction. CONSTITUTION: A registration control device has a head 17 which scans registration marks 11 and 12 printed on a web 10. The scanning head has a row 20 of discrete photosensitive elements arranged crosswise to the traveling direction of the web and in plane situated above and parallel to the web. The head has in the same plane a linear video bar 30 situated parallel to the row of photosensitive elements. The device includes a microprocessor 50 which selects the photosensitive element to be used according to the temporary sideways displacement of the web and controls the scanning operations of the linear video bar 30. The scanning head 17 may also include a 2nd row 21 of discrete photosensitive elements arranged parallel between the 1st row 20 of discrete photosensitive elements and the linear video bar.
