Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve reliability of a probe without contaminating a probe tip by a method wherein a probe is inserted into a hole on a base and caulked into an opening of the base. CONSTITUTION:A probe consists of 201 and a base 202, and the needle 201 is cylindrical. The base 202 has a hole having a diameter larger than that of the needle 201 at the center, and its outer periphery is threaded into a male screw. The needle 201 is inserted in the hole of the base 202 and the needle 201 and the base 202 are fixed into one piece by caulking the opening of the base 202. The base 202 having a hill 210 at the center is installed in a hole of a receiving jig 212, with the needle 201 inserted in the hole of the base 202. The center of a pushing jig 211 is concentric with the needle 201 and the base 202 and moves along a center line. When this jig 211 is moved toward the jig 212, the jig 211 comes against the hill of the base 202. When the jig 211 is further moved, the hill 210 is deformed, and the inner wall of the hole of the base 202 bites the needle 201 so that they are caulked and fixed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the exact position of displacement, without impairing a probe and a surface to be measured, by providing a function, by which the probe is leviated from the surface to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A pair of the secondary coils 8 and 9 is provided up and down positions so as to hold a primary coil 7. Of these coils, the coil 8 is freely connected to a power source 14, which is different from a power source that supplies AC to the coil 7. An iron core 5 is attracted to the side of the coil 8, a moving arm 2 is slightly moved, and a probe 3, which is fixed to the lower end surface of the arm 2, is lifted. Therefore, the probe 3 can be appropriately moved when a projection part is present on a surface to be measured 15.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the radius of curvature at the tip of a diamond tool small without damaging the diamond, by making the ion current of positive charge incident to the tip in parallel with the axis of the diamond tool supported vertically from above said tool thereby finishing the end sharply. CONSTITUTION:A holder 2 formed with a circumferential wall 2a in the upper circumference is erected on a working base 3, and a diamond tool 1 of which the top to be finished sharp is preworked roughly to the finishing degree is supported vertically in the holder 2. The ion current of positive charge is made incident to the tip of the tool 1 in parallel with the axis of the tool from above to work the tip sharply. The tool is thus worked to the sharp tip having 0.2- 0.5mu radius of curvature without roughening the surface while maintaining the linearily of the ridgeline.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To adjust the rate of gas infiltration to the predetermined value by applying solid powder on the face of a bearing made of porous material. CONSTITUTION:Infiltration rate of a bearing member 3 is set larger than a design value through appropriate selection of grain size of material, the thickness of the bearing member 3 and the like. After thus making up the material into a bearing of predetermined measurement, solid powder 9 is applied on the face 8 of the bearing so as to cause the plugging due to said powder in small holes opening on said face of the bearing member made of porous material, thereby lowering the rate of infiltration to the design value.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly ascertain the position of a small chip, by making an absorption head of transparent material such as glass or acrylic resin and directly observing with a camera the small chip to be taken out by the absorption head. SOLUTION: A small chip 4 absorbed by an absorption head 6a to the bottom opening thereof can be directly observed with a camera arranged above the absorption head 6a, because the top plate 9 and the bottom plate 10 are made of transparent glass plate. This makes it possible to correctly ascertain the position of the small chip 4 and to correctly position the small chip 4. Therefore, the small chip 4 can be correctly bonded to the predetermined part of a stem or a substrate.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat transfer efficiency by suppressing pipe resistance in an expert at which no trouble occurs during practical use. SOLUTION: A turbulence element 1 is securely supported on the inside of an inner pipe 7 of which a double pipe type heat-exchanger is comprised. The turbulence element 1 comprises a pair of guide plates 2 and 2. The widths of a pair of guide surface parts 5 and 5 of which each guide plate 2 is composed is increased toward a downstream side. A distance between a pair of the guide surface parts 5 and 5 is increased from an upper stream portion toward a downstream portion. This constitution forms first and second flow spaces 9, 9, 10, 10, 9a, 9a, 10a and 10a between an inner peripheral surface 7a of an inner pipe 7 and the turbulence element 1. Further, the phases, throughout the peripheral direction of the section of the inner pipe 7, of the pair of the guide plates 2 and 2 are made different from each other.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain an optical interference length measuring apparatus which measures with high accuracy and high reliability despite the easiness of the regulating operation. CONSTITUTION: A fixed mirror is formed of a rotary base 12 and a circular- polarized. prism 13. Thus, a reference light is reflected and circular-polarized. The base 12 is rotatable at a desired angle with the axis of a direction perpendicular to the propagating direction of the reference light as a center. The prism 13 is fixed to the upper surface of the base 12. The prism 13 is manufactured by a vitreous material which is transmissible for the reference light and has a refractive index (n) at the wavelength of the reference light of 1.5538 or more. The prism 13 has first and second totally reflecting surfaces 14, 15 perpendicularly crossed. Thus, the phase difference of the p-component and s-component of the reflected reference light becomes 90 degrees. The disposition regulation of the prism 13 is conducted by rotating the base 12 at the desired angle.
