Abstract:
An optical circuit detects PPG signals reflected from skin tissue at one or more different wavelengths. A processing circuit integrated in the biosensor or in communication with the biosensor processes the PPG signals to obtain a level of vasodilation or a period of vasodilation. The processing circuit may determine a circulation level using a phase offset between the PPG signals and/or a correlation value between the PPG signals.
Abstract:
A biosensor identifies a blood type using photoplethysmography (PPG) technology. A PPG circuit obtains a plurality of spectral responses at a plurality of wavelengths detected from skin of a user. A processing circuit determines a blood factor indicator using the plurality of spectral responses. The blood factor indicator may include a signal quality parameter or a ratio R value. A calibration database includes a correlation of the blood factor indicator to a plurality of blood types. The blood blood type of the user is identified using the blood factor indicator and the calibration database.

A method of making printed circuit board vias using a double drilling and plating method is disclosed. A first hole is drilled in a core, the first hole having a first diameter. The first hole is filled and/or plated with an electrically conductive material. A circuit pattern may be formed on one or two conductive layers of the core, A multilayer structure may then be formed including a plurality of cores that also include pre-drilled and plated via holes, wherein at least some of the pre-drilled and plated via holes are aligned with the first hole. A second hole is then drilled within the first hole and the aligned pre-drilled and plated holes, the second hole having a second diameter where the second diameter is smaller than the first diameter. A. conductive material is then plated to an inner surface of the second hole.

A photoplethysmography (PPG) circuit or non-contact camera obtains PPG signals at a plurality of wavelengths. A signal processing module obtains at least a first spectral response around a first wavelength and a second spectral response around a second wavelength.
