Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing real-time media communication services to make use of a software application resident on a server that receives the media feeds of multiple sending participants, and generates a single composed media feed that includes media feeds of the sending participants and that sends the composed media feed to other computing services for manifold purposes like recording, re-broadcasting and/or re-transmission to remote computing devices of multiple real-time media communication participants. The composed media feed can include supplementary information in addition to the media feeds of live participants. This supplementary information is provided by means of API configurable programmatic code that is then executed and used as the software application resident on the server.
Abstract:
A telephony software application on a first mobile computing device requests information about the present location of the first mobile computing device from a remote server. The remote server obtains information about the present location of a second mobile computing device that is located proximate to the first mobile computing device from the second mobile computing device. The remote server then provides the obtained location data to the first mobile computing device. This process may repeat at periodic time intervals.
Abstract:
A system for registering an individual's biometric data and then later verifying the identity of the individual using the previously registered biometric data makes use of either an audio communications channel or a messaging channel, both of which are accessed via an application programming interface (API). In some instances, spoken audio input is received from the individual and the spoken audio input is used to generate a voice print for the individual. In other instances, the biometric data could be image-based, such as facial images or an image of an individual's iris.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for providing call flow information to devices associated with call flow destinations are provided herein. In some embodiments, a method for providing call flow information to a terminal device comprises receiving a communication specifying an initial destination from a calling party, and at least one of assigning the received communication to a terminal device associated with the initial destination and an alternate destination, forwarding the received communication from a terminal device associated with the initial destination to a terminal device associated with the alternate destination, or re-assigning the received communication to a terminal device associated with the alternate destination rather than with the initial destination responsive to a call set up failure. A call flow indicator is generated and transmitted to the terminal device associated with the alternate destination, the call flow indicator including an identifier of the initial destination and an identifier of the alternate destination.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for selectively managing access to message content at a first display terminal are configured to display one or more messages collectively defining an exchange between a user of the first display terminal and a user of a second display terminal. The method determines, by a processor, that secure display processing should be used on at least one message of the exchange at the first display terminal, and displays message content of one or more messages of the exchange while concealing message content of the at least one message. In an embodiment, a successfully authenticated user or one who presents a required decryption code is able to view all any portion of an exchange, such as the at least one message in the context of a plurality of messages comprising a conversation.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for assisting a user in conducting a telephony communication include automatically obtaining contextual information relating to the telephony communication, and presenting that information to the user. The contextual information could be drawn from a third party database. The third party database could be queried for the contextual information based on an identity to the party with who the user is attempting to communicate.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for setting up a telephony communication include an operating system of a user telephony device diverting a call setup request made via a native dialer of the user telephony device to a telephony software application on the user telephony device. The telephony software application then sets up the requested telephony communication using a telephony communication application programming interface (API).
