Abstract: 본 발명은 부분 구동이 가능한 능동형 엑스레이 램프(X-ray lamp) 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 평면형 엑스레이 램프에 사용되는 기본 단위의 필드 에미터(field emitter)를 M×N개 배열하여 형성하고, 각각의 기본단위 필드 에미터에 선택적으로 전원을 인가하여 전체 또는 일부분에서 전자가 방출되도록 함으로써 하나의 엑스레이 램프로 원하는 크기의 엑스레이를 촬영할 수 있도록 하는 능동 구동형 엑스레이 램프에 관한 것이다.

Abstract: 본 발명은 전자방출 소자의 선택적 위치 제어를 이용한 전자방출 디스플레이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 특히 전극 구조가 형성되기 전에 전자방출원인 탄소 나노튜브의 위치를 결정하여 균일하게 성장시키고, 포토레지스트를 사용하여 상기 선택적으로 균일하게 형성된 탄소 나노튜브들을 화소 단위로 구분하는 스페이서를 직접 전극 위에 형성함으로써 화소들간의 상호 간섭 현상인 누화(cross-talk)를 방지하고, 균일한 전자 방출에 의해 화소의 균일도를 향상시킬 수 있는 전자방출 소자의 선택적 위치 제어를 이용한 전자방출 디스플레이 및 그 제조방법을 제공한다.

Abstract: A method for forming electron emission elements using selective position control is provided to form the electron emission elements having wanted shapes at wanted positions by forming a wanted pattern on a catalyst metal layer and growing carbon nano tubes on the pattern. Cathode electrodes(110) and a catalyst metal layer(120) are formed on a substrate(100). After a photoresist layer(130) is formed on the catalyst metal layer, electron emission element growing portions(131) are formed at desired positions through lithography process, and then the remaining photoresist layer is removed. Electron emission elements are formed on the electron emission element growing portions.

Abstract: A field emission display using a selective position control of an electron emission element and a manufacturing method of the same are provided to form selectively and uniformly a carbon nanotube on a desired position by using photoresist. A field emission display includes a lower substrate having a cathode electrode and a catalytic metal layer(130) and an electron emission element formed on the lower substrate. A method for manufacturing a field emission display includes a process for forming photoresist(140) on the catalytic metal layer, a process for forming a desired pattern on an electron emission element position of the photoresist layer, a process for forming an electron emission element hole by removing a pattern, and a process for forming an electron emission element in the electron emission element hole. The photoresist is formed by using a spin-coating method and has a thickness of 0.01 to 10 micrometers.
