    Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition comprising fatty acid amides as active ingredients for preventing or treating diabetes. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition comprising one or more fatty acid amides selected from the group consisting of myristamide, palmitamide, and stearamide as active ingredients for preventing or treating diabetes. The fatty acid amides extract, of the present invention, has an excellent effect of inhibiting activity of α-amylase or α-glucosidase, which are enzymes for carbohydrate hydrolysis, thereby can be usefully used for preventing or treating the diabetes.
