Abstract: An LCD is provided to simplify the structure and improve display quality by using a light controlling member for controlling the amount of light, which is incident to an LCD panel from a light source. An LCD panel(20) includes a thin film transistor substrate(21) and an opposite substrate(22). A light source part(50) is disposed at the rear of the thin film transistor substrate, wherein the light source part supplies light to the LCD panel. Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to reduce the deformation of a protection sheet due to the heat radiated from an optical source by using a protection sheet with a light dispersion member. A light source is arranged at the rear of an LCD panel and emits the light beam. An optical sheet is arranged between the LCD panel and the light source and diffuses and condenses the light beam. A protection sheet(350) is arranged between the LCD panel and the optical sheet, includes a polycarbonate and has a light diffusion member toward the LCD panel. The protection sheet is a rectangular shape and the thermal expansion coefficient of the long side is smaller than that of the short side. The light source is arranged along any one of the long sides. The light diffusion member includes a protrusion pattern having ridge and valley areas.
