Abstract: PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to have a mirror function. CONSTITUTION: A backlight assembly generates light. An LCD panel assembly has an upper substrate(700) and a lower substrate(800) which are oppositely combined each other. The LCD panel assembly receives the light and displays an image. The first polarizing plate(200) is formed on the upper substrate. The second polarizing plate(100) formed on the first polarizing plate selectively reflects light inputted from the outside. The third polarizing plate(500) is formed on the lower substrate. A liquid crystal layer is inserted between the upper substrate and the lower substrate.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A color filter substrate is provided to differently form shapes of color patterns according to transmissivity of light of the color patterns having different colors, thereby improving a display quality. CONSTITUTION: A substrate(100) is comprised. Black matrices(210) are formed on the substrate(100). Color patterns(220,230,240) have different shapes according to differences of light transmissivity. A common electrode(250) is formed on an upper surface including the black matrices(210) and the color patterns(220,230,240). The color patterns(220,230,240) are sequentially formed red, green, and blue color patterns. Abstract: A transreflective LCD device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a gap between pixel electrodes or reflection electrodes adjacent to a data line in a range of 3.5 to 6 micrometer, thereby preventing the abnormal driving of liquid crystal by an electric field between the adjacent pixel electrodes or reflection electrodes. A spacer(270) is included to at least one of the first and second substrates to maintain a cell gap(CG) between the two substrates.

Abstract: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to increase an aperture ratio when a double gate driving circuit is adopted. The first substrate includes the first and second gate driving circuits for driving a plurality of gate lines. The first gate driving circuit is placed at one peripheral region located at the side of a display region where a plurality of gate lines(145a,145b) cross to a plurality of data lines(155a,155b) and thereby a plurality of pixels are formed. The second gate driving circuit is placed at the other peripheral region. The second substrate for opening the pixels is opposite to the first substrate so that a liquid crystal layer can be placed between the first and second substrates.
