A computer system and a control method thereof are provided to restrict spatial restriction for including various kinds of operation information generators to obtain various kinds of operation information by enabling one tool to perform a direction key and a pointing device selectively. An operator(110) performs at least one operation. An operation information generator(120) generates direction information and movement quantity information corresponding to a moving direction by detecting user operation. A mode selector(130) receives user selection for an operation mode. A controller(140) controls the operator based on direction information or the movement quantity information of the operation information generator depending on the user selection received through the mode selector. The operation information generator outputs a first information signal including the direction and movement quantity information, and a second information signal including the direction and movement quantity information, and having a different signal protocol from the first information signal. The operation information generator includes a sensor, a signal generator, and a signal converter.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A computer system and a cooling fan controlling method for keeping a preset constant temperature are provided to keep the temperature in the computer system at a preset temperature, and reduce power consumption due to excessive fan operation by finding out an optimal fan speed for the setting temperature. CONSTITUTION: A cooling fan(10) cools components by installing near the components generating heat for operation. A fan speed adjuster(11) operates the cooling fan while a speed of the cooling fan is adjusted. A temperature sensor(13) detects the temperature of the components. A fan speed detector(15) detects the cooling fan speed. A controller(20) controls the fan speed adjuster in order to keep the setting temperature based on the temperature detected in the temperature sensor and the cooling fan speed detected in the fan speed detector. A memory stores temperature ranges divided by a predetermined interval and a fan speed range corresponding to each temperature range.

PURPOSE: A computer system and its scroll control method are provided to install a hooker for converting the data, input via a scroll up/down button of a keyboard, into scroll instructions so that it can perform scroll operations without other specific pointing input devices or drive programs. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a keyboard(130) and a hooker(112). The keyboard(130) executes the scroll function by using standardized data formats, and can be applied to various computers, input devices or drive programs to enhance system interoperability. The hooker(112) is a program for calling a routine by using an address of the routine, not by directly calling the routine itself. The hooker(112) can easily change the process routine to enhance flexibility. The hooker(112) receives the data packet corresponding to the scroll function from the keyboard(130), converts the data packet into scroll instructions, and outputs the instructions to an BIOS, an OS or an application program. The keyboard(130) includes scroll up/down buttons and a microcomputer. The scroll up/down buttons has mechanical structure for a switching operation, are connected between a power source(Vcc) and a ground(GND), and connected to the microcomputer to recognize the switching operation. The microcomputer checks if the buttons(132,134) are pushed or released, and outputs key scan codes according to the check result.

PURPOSE: An arc voltage control apparatus of medium implanter is provided to improve beam efficiency and to lengthen the life of a filament by supplying different arc voltage for ionizing process gas by processes. CONSTITUTION: An arc voltage control apparatus of medium implanter comprises: a switch (SW) consisting in a remote console(1) controlling entire operation of a medium implanter and determining an up/down state of the arc voltage; a resistor controller(4) having resistance being varied according to an up/down position of the switch and generating voltages of different level; a voltage/frequency converter(5) converting the voltage into frequency; an arc free amplifier(8) amplifying the voltage to a predetermined level; and an arc power supply(9) supplying voltage corresponding to the amplified voltage as arc voltage for ionizing process gas.
