Abstract: PURPOSE: An electron donor polymer is provided to absorb light of a wide wavelength region, to be easily dissolved in an organic solvent, and to have excellent miscibility with an electron acceptor. CONSTITUTION: An electron donor polymer comprises a moiety A in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, X^1 is a functional group containing at least two ester moieties and a substituted or unsubstituted divalent aliphatic organic group connecting the ester moieties, X^2 is hydrogen, halogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 organic group, hydroxy, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 alkoxy, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-30 ketone group, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 ester group, a thiol group, -SR^100 or a combination thereof, where R^100 is a substituted or unsubstituted C1-20 aliphatic organic group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C2-30 aromatic organic heterocycloalkyl.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An electron donating polymer is provided to absorb the light of wide wavelength area and to improve optical absorption rate of an organic solar cell, a short circuit current density, an open circuit voltage and a hole mobility. CONSTITUTION: An electron donating polymer comprises a repeating unit A. The repeating unit A comprises a repeating unit in the chemical formula 1, and at least one repeating unit among the repeating units in the chemical formula 2-4 with the molar ratio of 1:1 - 1:1.4. An organic solar cell including the same comprises an anode and a cathode facing each other, a photo active layer, which includes electron donors and electron acceptors, between the anode and cathode. The electron donor comprises the electron donating polymer.
