    Abstract: PURPOSE: An electron donating polymer is provided to absorb light in a wide wavelength region, to be easily solved in an organic solvent, and to have excellent miscibility. CONSTITUTION: An electron donating polymer comprises a repeating unit A represented by chemical formula 1; and a repeating unit B represented by chemical formula 2. The number average molecular weight of the electron donating polymer is 500-800,000 and the band gap of the electron donating polymer is 1.2-2.5 eV. The organic solar battery comprises an anode and a cathode; and a photoactive layer which is located between the anode and cathode and includes an electron donor and an electron acceptor.
