재기록 가능한 광 디스크상에 실시간적으로 오디오 및 비디오 데이터를 기록/재생하는 장치 및 그 방법 및 정보 구조에 관한 것이며, 재생 순서를 나타내고, 편집 기본 단위로 사용되는 소정의 단위를 구비하여 사용자에게 기록 데이터에 대해 소정의 간격으로 접근할 수 있는 정보 구조에 있어서, 상기 정보 구조는 상기의 재생 순서 및 편집을 위한 기본 단위에 해당되는 단위(Cell)들과, 상기 단위(Cell)의 시작부터 특정한 지점까지의 위치를 포함하며, 오디오, 비디오 데이터를 일부 모아서 셀을 발생하는 과정, 셀의 하나 이상으로 프로그램을 발생하는 과정, 오디오, 비디오 데이터의 특정 부분을 타이틀 부분(PTT)으로 발생하여 상기 디스크상에 기록하는 과정을 포함한다.

PURPOSE: A disk written with the valid period of a title, a method for managing information, and an apparatus for writing and reading are provided to easily manage the audio and video data in a title by recording the information about the valid period within the title attribute region of an information file region on an optical disk. CONSTITUTION: An information file system on an optical disk comprises a video title information managing region(100), a program information managing region(120), a cell information managing region(140), and an extra information managing region(160). The video title managing region consists of a video title attribute region(102) and a video title start address region(104). The video title attribute region consists of a title recording time mode region(106), a title valid time information mode region(108), a video coding mode region(110), a TV system mode region(112), and a display mode region(114). A device for writing the title valid period includes a pickup unit, an RF(Radio Frequency) amplifying unit, a channel CODEC(Coder and Decoder), an AV(Audio and Video) CODEC, a servo unit, and a system controller. The pickup unit dividedly writes the title valid period information in the title attribute region on the optical disk. The system controller controls the optical pickup to read the title valid period information.

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for measuring and displaying recordable capacity/time of a recording medium are provided to suggest recordable capacity or time with an effectiveness by considering a temporary removing interval. CONSTITUTION: A disk is inserted(S101) and a kind of a disk is discriminated(S102). It is confirmed whether a file system exists(S103). It is checked whether a recognition of a file system is possible(S104) and a file system is read(S105). Detecting data are checked to check a capacity of a temporarily removed part(S106). The recognition of detecting data is determined to be possible(S107) and detecting data are read(S108). A recordable capacity is computed(S109) and a recordable time is displayed(S110).

PURPOSE: A recording medium, method for producing and replaying scene conversion point information store a scene conversion point information according to an attribute variation of A/V(audio/video) data. CONSTITUTION: A controller(202) generates a scene conversion point information by tracking an attribute variation of A/V data, and searches a desired position in accordance with a search command at high speed. An A/V format unit(204) analyzes contents of an input A/V data, and sorts it by the minimum recording unit block in accordance with a predetermined criterion. A navigation data generator(206) reanalyzes the minimum recording unit block analyzed in the A/V format unit, and provides a time information required for the replaying of the corresponding unit block and a block size information occupied by the corresponding unit block by one navigation data unit, to a recording controller(208). The recording controller records a recording data provided from the A/V format unit and a navigation data provided from the navigation data generator on a disk(210). A replaying controller(212) reads the A/V data recorded on the desired position of the disk by using the scene conversion point information. An A/V deformat unit(214) deformats the A/V data formatted by a predetermined disk format provided from the replaying controller, and outputs the deformatted A/V data.

PURPOSE: A thumbnail picture writing method for a menu screen and disk recording media thereof is provided, which has a high correlation with the content of a program which a thumbnail picture is an object of a subject expression. CONSTITUTION: A thumbnail picture writing method for a menu screen comprises the steps of: extracting one frame picture included in a moving picture program when a thumbnail picture(14) expresses the subject of the moving picture program; and extracting a picture included in a still picture program when a thumbnail picture(12) expresses the subject of the still picture program, wherein the thumbnail picture is selected from a thumbnail file having a plurality of thumbnail picture to write and the thumbnail picture is extracted from an intra picture when the moving picture program is MPEG. Thereby, the thumbnail picture having a high correlation with the content of a program is written.

PURPOSE: Storing method and equipment for virtual deleting data is provided to subdue previous size of file allocation information depending on not the size of a file but degree of distribution of file and increase the size of file allocation information for overcoming some problem in interruption process. CONSTITUTION: The storing method and equipment for virtual deleting data comprises the first region having interruption group information, the second region grouping from interruption data to maximum numbers to provide supervising information of video map and audio map effectively and enable reduction of file allocation information and save more available place.

CONSTITUTION: The record medium comprises: a first region for having plural still picture data; a second region for having plural additional audio data added to the still picture data; and a third region for having information indicating a connection relationship between the still picture data in the first region and the additional audio data in the second region, wherein the first region, the second region and the third region exist on a file, respectively.

PURPOSE: A data structure for a still image is provided to store a large quantity of still images to a disk capable of restoring data. The data structure is suitable for after recording of audio data corresponding to the still image. An apparatus and a method of reading and writing still image is provided to display and edit the large quantity of still images in units of a still image. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus of reading and writing still image stores a plurality of still images after defining the still images to a reading/writing unit, and stores additional information to access the reading/writing unit. In that case, an audio data corresponding to the still image is included in the reading/writing unit for after recording of the audio data. The still image, i.e., video data and the audio data are comprised in a minimal reading/writing unit. Thus, the large quantity of still images and the audio data corresponding to the images are written by using a minimal information data, and are displayed and edited in terms of the still image. In addition, the apparatus can provide after recording operation.

본 발명은 2개 언어 오디오신호의 기록/재생이 가능한 광디스크의 기록/재생장치 및 그에 따른 기록/재생방법에 관한 것으로서, 기록방법은 상기 방송국으로부터 송출된 오디오 신호의 전송언어수를 판별하는 과정; 상기 판별과정에서, 판별된 전송언어수가 주언어와 부언어로 구성되어 있으면, 정보파일내의 멀티 언어 오디오 플랙(multi-language audio flag)을 세트시키는 과정; 오디오신호의 압축방식에 따라, 상기 주언어 및 부언어의 스트림 ID를 설정하여 정보파일내에 설정된 스트림 ID를 기록하는 과정; 상기 입력된 비디오신호와 2개의 오디오신호를 설정된 압축방식에 따라 대역 압축하는 과정; 및 상기 압축된 1개의 비디오 비트스트림과 2개의 오디오 비트스트림을 다중화시키는 과정을 포함한다. 따라서, 사용자의 선택에 따라 원하는 언어의 방송을 재생할 수 있기 때문에, 방송프로그램에 따른 서비스의 내용을 충실히 재생할 수 있는 효과를 제공한다.

본 발명에 의한 동화상 부호화장치에서는 부호화기 전단에 부호화 블럭의 특성에 맞게 적응적으로 대역을 제한하는 프리필터를 설치하고, 프리필터링한 결과를 다시 양자화 스텝 사이즈 결정에 반영하여 종래 방식이 갖는 화질열화의 원인인 양자화 오차를 어느 정도 해상도 오차로 반감시킴으로써 효과적으로 화질을 향상시킬 수 있다.
