Abstract: PURPOSE: A select method of an audio signal is provided to follow a voice mode selected by a user although a program or audio bit stream is switched. CONSTITUTION: In the method for selecting an audio signal, when switched from a program to another program, whether a sub audio bit stream having a channel identification symbol exists, is checked. The channel identification symbol is assigned to a sub audio bit stream of a program to be reproduced prior to be switched. If a sub audio bit stream having the same channel identification symbols exists, the sub audio bit stream is selected so that a voice mode selected by a user is followed when a program or audio bit stream is switched.
