An apparatus for recording and reproducing data on and from a recording medium and a method therefor are provided to add a data processor which performs a new data processing operation as using an existing data processor as it is when a recording and reproducing apparatus which supports a new-standard disk is to be developed, thereby using existing resources to the maximum. A master data processor(220) processes data. A slave data processor(230) processes other kinds of data different from the data of the master data processor(220). A multiplexer(240) selects one of interface signals outputted from the master data processor(220) or the slave data processor(230) to perform communication with a disk drive(250). The master data processor(220) controls operation of the slave data processor(230), and controls the multiplexer(240) to select the one of the outputted interface signals.

본 발명은 홈씨어터를 구성하는 무선 전송망을 이용한 멀티 채널 오디오 시스템에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로 멀티 채널 오디오 시스템에 있어서, 입력되는 멀티 채널 오디오 스트림을 디코딩하여 출력하며, 입력되는 멀티 채널 오디오 스트림 중 슬래이브에서 지원하는 소정의 오디오 스트림을 추출하여 무선으로 송신하는 마스터; 및 멀티 채널 오디오 스트림 중 슬래이브에서 지원하는 오디오 스트림에 대한 정보를 마스터로 전달하고, 추출된 오디오 스트림을 무선으로 수신하여 디코딩하여 출력하는 슬래이브를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이에 따라, 슬래이브에서 필요로 하는 데이터만을 선별하여 전송함으로써, 송수신되는 데이터의 대역폭(Bandwidth)이 제한되는 무선 통신 환경에서, 데이터 대역폭을 절약하여 데이터를 전송하는 무선 통신망을 이용한 멀티 채널 오디오 시스템을 제공할 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A digital data regeneration method and a system thereof are provided to regenerate data smoothly though there occurs an error at a time stamp displaying a regeneration time of packet data. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a time stamp controller(120), a data decoder(150), and a front end controller(130). The time stamp controller(120) checks whether a time stamp value of a current packet is effective in a case that the current packet is included in a data error area, outputs the current packet according to the time stamp value if the time stamp value is effective, and outputs the current packet according to an estimated time stamp value if not effective. The data decoder(150) decodes the received packet and regenerates the data included in the packet. The front end controller(130) corrects the error in the data extracted from data storage according to an error correction symbol and transmits the corrected data to the time stamp controller.

PURPOSE: Storing method and equipment for virtual deleting data is provided to subdue previous size of file allocation information depending on not the size of a file but degree of distribution of file and increase the size of file allocation information for overcoming some problem in interruption process. CONSTITUTION: The storing method and equipment for virtual deleting data comprises the first region having interruption group information, the second region grouping from interruption data to maximum numbers to provide supervising information of video map and audio map effectively and enable reduction of file allocation information and save more available place.

PURPOSE: A recordable media for storing virtual deletion information for still pictures is provided to delete original audio and secondary audio data corresponding to the still pictures, to secure a free area for recording new data, to edit and display not only the original audio but also the secondary audio data in a still picture unit, and to effectively manage by having video map and/or audio map information of the still picture information. CONSTITUTION: A recordable media for storing virtual deletion information for still pictures includes a number of still pictures, first virtual deletion information(303) informing whether or not it is possible that the corresponding still picture of the still pictures is produced now, and still picture group information for dividing the still pictures as groups.

The second area stores at least one or more of still picture group information(303) to manage the still picture data groups. The still picture group information contains at least one or more still picture information having first virtual deletion information of the still pictures.

CONSTITUTION: A recording medium includes the first region having a plurality of still image data items, the second region having a plurality of additional audio data items added to the still image data items, and the third region having information that indicates a connection relationship between the still images of the first region and the additional audio data items of the second region. The first, second and third regions exist in files. The first and second regions exist in one file. The information of the third region includes still image group information that groups the plurality of still images and manages the grouped still images, and additional audio group information that groups the additional audio data items and manages the grouped audio data items.

PURPOSE: A method for selecting audio channels is provided to trace an input of audio selection by a user, though a program or an audio data stream is switched in an A/V(Audio-Visual) apparatus that regenerates a plurality of audio streams, so as to select a same type of audio channels. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of programs are included. One program includes at least two types audio data streams. Each audio data stream includes at least two sub audio data streams having a series of not-duplicated ID codes according to a predetermined priority. If a program is switched to another program, whether a sub audio data stream having a channel ID code identical to a channel ID code allocated to a sub audio data stream of the program before switching exists in the switched program is searched. If so, the sub audio data stream having the identical channel ID code is selected in the switched program. And if not, a sub audio data stream having a highest priority of channel ID code is selected in another program.
