Abstract: PURPOSE: A method is provided to obtain a coil having a circular cross section and uniform characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A method is characterized in that a coil is manufactured by an isotropic etching and a heat treatment of photosensitizer. Abstract: PURPOSE: A polygonal mirror used as a cooling fan of a laser printer is provided to cool an optical system by using a flow of air created in the wings attached to a polygonal mirror. CONSTITUTION: A polygonal mirror(1b) used as a cooling fan of a laser printer includes a structure attached to a rotating mirror in order to change a flow of air. A cooling device is operated by receiving power from a power source, which is used for rotating the polygon mirror(1b) for a scanning. A box, in which an optical system is installed, includes an air intake hole. A filter paper is adhered to the air intake hole of the box. The optical system is cooled by creating a flow of air from a rotation of the wings. The air intake hole and an air exhausting hole include the filter paper in order to prevent the optical system from being contaminated.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A sol-gel process for preparing silica spheres is provided to obtain silica spheres having a uniform size which is used in constructing three-dimensional crystals, and to improve the reproducibility . CONSTITUTION: The sol-gel process for preparing silica spheres uses an order of adding additives different from the order currently used in conventional sol-gel processes to improve the reproducibility. Particularly, H2O and TEOS(tetraethoxysilane) are preliminarily added to ethanol and then the mixture is stirred for 10 minutes. Finally, NH4OH is added to the resultant mixture. In other words, the order of adding TEOS and NH4OH is reverse compared to conventional sol-gel processes.
