PURPOSE: A long range stage of 6 degrees freedom using double H-frame is provided to be capable of improving the precision of motion of the stage. CONSTITUTION: A long range stage of 6 degrees freedom is provided with a sample jig part(11), a short range driving part(100), an inner structure(10), a frame(20), a pair of guide bars(40a,40b) for transferring the frame to a predetermined direction, and a base(50) for loading the inner structure, the frame, and the guide bars. Preferably, the short range driving part includes a plurality of disc plates for loading the sample jig part, a plurality of magnetic circuit part, and a solenoidal part. Preferably, the inner structure includes the first linear motor coil part(13). Preferably, the frame includes the second linear motor coil part(24).

PURPOSE: A super-precise displacement meter and various methods for measuring displacement using unit displacement sensor based on confocal theory are provided to easily and inexpensively constructed with improved resolution. CONSTITUTION: A displacement meter is an equipment projecting a radiant from a light source to an object for measurement of displacement and measuring relative displacement by movement of the projected radiant and has a unit displacement sensor(20) including a projecting lens(26) projecting beam emitted from the light source to a slit or a pin hole with fixed size; a parallel light lens(28) making beam passing the slit or the pin hole parallel; an object lens(30) placed between the parallel light lens and the object; a beam splitter(32) splitting beam reflected to the projecting lens by wave lengths; and a photodetector(34) detecting intensity of beam passing the beam splitter and a driving device finely moving the unit displacement sensor to keep light signal detected by the photodetector maximized.

PURPOSE: An elliptical polarization analyser and method for aligning incident angle using the same are provided to furnish various incident angles using mechanical coupling without a confocal microscope or a motor and so on. CONSTITUTION: An elliptical polarization analyser(10) includes a main frame(16); a sample stage(11); a polarization part(12); and an analyser part(14). The main frame is semicircular and has a plurality of first grooves(17) formed in radial direction and a second groove(18) formed in circumferential direction. The sample stage is installed on a central area of the main frame and movable in triaxial direction. The polarization part includes a first ball and a second ball inserted in the first grooves, a third ball inserted in the second groove and a contacting device on a surface contacting with the main frame to fix the position thereof to radiate polarization. The analyser part includes a first ball and a second ball inserted in the first grooves, a third ball inserted in the second groove and the contacting device on a surface contacting with the main frame to fix the position thereof to receive light reflected by an upper surface placed on the sample stage.

PURPOSE: A head device of a data recording/reproducing apparatus for a high density optical recording medium and method of controlling light beam using the device are provided to stably control a servo and increase a recording/reproducing speed, thereby increasing a recording density of the optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION: The head device of a data recording/reproducing apparatus for a high density optical recording medium comprises an optical recording medium(11); a light source(1) for generating a light beam(14); a lens for collecting the light beam on the optical recording medium; a first piezoelectric device deformed responding to an applied electric signal to move the lens in an optical axis direction by a very small displacement; a second piezoelectric device deformed responding to the applied electric signal to move the lens in a radial direction of the optical recording medium by the very small displacement. The head device further comprises a collimating lens(2) disposed between the light source and the lens to converting the divergent beam irradiated from the light source into a parallel light and advancing to the lens; and an optical detector(13) for converting a reflecting light from the optical recording medium into an electric signal.
