Abstract: PURPOSE: An automatic gain control method of marine digital communication is provided to efficiently control the signal gain of upward and downward links. CONSTITUTION: One terminal receives a signal for one packet time (S101). The terminal measures the power of the received signal (S102). The terminal compares the measured power with a predetermined threshold. If the measured power exceeds the threshold, the terminal determines that there is a signal and the gain is changed. If the measured power does not exceed the threshold, the terminal determines that there is no signal. [Reference numerals] (AA) No; (BB) Yes; (S101) One terminal receives a signal for one packet time; (S102) Terminal measures the power of the received signal; (S103) P_s > P_threshould; (S104) Gain value is chnaged after a gain control algorithm is performed
