Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for configuring and managing an overlay multicast data delivery tree in a transmission network having a SM (session manager) and at least one MA (multicast agent). The method includes the steps of at the MA intending to joining a session, obtaining an active neighbor MA list from the SM; detecting information on QoS information of each neighbor MA in the active neighbor MA list, selecting a MA having the most optimized QoS as a parent MA based on the QoS information of each Neighbor MA in the active neighbor MA list, joining an overlay multicast data communication session through the selected parent MA, periodically receiving HB (heart beat) information having information on a path from a root to the MA and determining whether to perform a parent-switching based on me HB information and parent-switching from the current parent MA to a MA having a better QoS when it is determined to perform the parent-switching

Abstract: 본 발명은 인터넷 망에서 다자간 멀티미디어 컨퍼런스를 제어하는 방법 및 그 시스템을 개시한다.
본 발명에 의하면, 본 발명에 의하면, 컨퍼런스 제어 서버와 다수의 컨퍼런스 클라이언트가 인터넷을 통해 컨퍼런스를 제어하는 방법에 있어서, 클라이언트가 제어서버로 새로운 컨퍼런스 생성 요청, 제어 정보 또는 제어 권한에 대한 획득 및 조정 요구를 포함하는 내용을 XML 인스턴스로 요청하면 사용자 인증을 거쳐 요청된 오퍼레이션의 XML 인스턴스를 파싱하여 컨퍼런스 정보를 추출하고, 제어서버가 상기 추출된 컨퍼런스 정보로부터 해당되는 컨퍼런스에 대응하는 오퍼레이션이 실행되기 위한 정책정보와 사용자 권한 정보를 추출하고, 적합한 권한 및 정책 정보를 반영하여 수행된 오퍼레이션의 결과값을 XML 인스턴스로 생성하여 클라이언트로 전달하며, 요청 정보의 종류에 따라 소정의 응용 서버로 전달이 필요한 경우 응용 서버를 초기화시키� �� 시그널을 응용 서버로 전송하여, 이종간의 컨퍼런스 응용에게 간편한 제어 방법을 제공할 수 있어서 유무선 네트워크 상에서 서로 다른 시그널링 프로토콜을 사용하거나 서로 다른 운영체제를 사용하거나 서로 다른 컨퍼런스 응용을 통한 다자간 컨퍼런스 참여가 가능한 제어 방법을 제공하여 다자간의 멀티미디어 컨퍼런스의 제어를 원할히 할 수 있게 한다.-

Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for supplying QoS(Quality of Service) information based on an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) and a method therefor are provided to supply an SIP UA(User Agent) that adds an interface role with a network as well as an application to support a call for supplying QoS information, thereby satisfying a user request to the QoS information. CONSTITUTION: An application manager module(240) receives and interprets QoS information, and calls an API(Application Program Interface) appropriate for a QoS network protocol. A UA core module(210) decides whether a QoS call is set according to the requested QoS information, interfaces an expansion SIP UA(200) with the application manager module(240), and encodes/decodes information on an SIP message and an SIP body. A QoS manager module(220) maps a user request of an SIP style transmitted from the UA core module(210), transmits the mapped user request, and performs the API.
