Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for controlling a transmission rate are provided to secure QOS(Quality Of Service) to users which have to receive services more than a predetermined level and set the maximum transmission rate to limit the transmission rate, thereby preventing the data overflow of an uplink sub receiving module buffer and minimizing the variation of throughput for the transmission rate of an uplink sub receiving module. An apparatus for controlling a transmission rate comprises a subscriber information table(406), a transmission rate calculating module(404), an uplink sub receiving module(402), and a memory(408). The subscriber information table stores information indicating that each subscriber is a guaranteed subscriber or a normal subscriber. The uplink sub receiving module receives uplink data from a cable modem, and initializes a temporary transmission rate stored in the memory as traffic information is received from the cable modem. The transmission rate calculating module determines a variation constant based on the traffic information received from the uplink sub receiving module, and updates the maximum transmission rate set to the cable modem on the basis of the variation constant. The transmission rate calculating module includes a transmission non-calculating module(404a), a transmission rate increasing module(404b), and a transmission rate decreasing module(404c). The transmission non-calculating module calculates a ratio of a currently allocated transmission rate and the required transmission rate of each terminal connected to the cable modem as the traffic information is received. The transmission rate increasing module and the transmission rate decreasing module determines the variation of a transmission rate in the each terminal on the basis of the traffic information and are selectively operated.

본 발명은 신호 대 잡음비에 따른 채널별 변조기법 선택장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 주기적으로 전송되는 프리앰블 신호를 수신하는 프리앰블 신호 수신부, 상기 수신된 프리앰블 신호로부터 채널 상태 정보를 측정하는 채널 상태 정보 측정부, 상기 측정한 채널 상태 정보로부터 신호 대 잡음비(SNR)를 추정하는 신호 대 잡음비 추정부, 및 상기 추정된 신호 대 잡음비를 송신측 단말기로 피드백 처리하는 피드백 처리부를 포함하고, 상기 송신측 단말기는, 상기 피드백 처리된 신호 대 잡음비와 이전 수신된 신호의 신호 대 잡음비가 동일한지 비교하고, 상기 비교 결과 동일한 경우, 상기 프리앰블 신호의 전송에 사용된 대역폭과 변조방식을 유지하고, 상기 비교 결과 동일하지 않은 경우, 상기 프리앰블 신호의 전송에 사용된 대역폭 및 변조방식 중에 서 적어도 하나를 변경할 수 있다.
Abstract:
A time synchronization method in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system comprises: a coarse time synchronization step of determining the start position of an OFDM symbol by performing coarse time synchronization using correlation of a protection interval of the OFDM symbol of a received signal; and a fine time synchronization step of estimating the fast Fourier transform (FFT) window position of the OFDM symbol by performing fine time synchronization through analysis of channel impulse response (CIR) characteristics of the received signal. Therefore, complexity of time offset estimation can be reduced, and accuracy of offset estimation can be improved.

Disclosed are a method, an apparatus, and a system for providing mobile advertisements in a small-scale wireless network. The method for providing mobile advertisements comprises the steps of: receiving an entrance message notifying that a mobile terminal enters a wireless network; receiving an information reception flag inquiring about whether or not to receive information about events near the current location of the mobile terminal, wherein the information about events includes information about discounts; and transmitting the information about events to the mobile terminal according to a response of the mobile terminal to the information reception flag. Therefore, when a subscriber using a mobile device exists in the network, information about ongoing events within the network can be provided for the subscriber through a short message service (SMS) or a mobile phone application. Consequentially, user convenience is improved.

The present invention relates to fusion between car technology and broadcasting technology, in particular, a personal car theater system which is implemented by combining an image projector to a car. The personal car theater system is installed in a car and includes: a multimedia processing unit for obtaining video data and sound data of multimedia contents; an image projector installed in the outside of the car for receiving and projecting the video data from the multimedia processing unit; a switch for selecting one between a general mode in which the image projector operates as a headlight and a broadcasting mode in which the projector projects the video; a sound transmission device for receiving sound data from the multimedia processing unit and transmitting to a terminal using wireless communication; and a terminal for receiving the sound data from the sound transmission device using wireless communication and outputting sound, wherein the multimedia processing unit transmits the sound data to a speaker which is prepared in the car when the switch selects the general mode, and the multimedia processing unit transmits the sound data to the sound transmission device when the switch selects the broadcasting mode.
