Abstract: 본 발명은 Ethernet PON(Passive Optical Network, EPON)에서 ONT(Optical Network Terminal) 기반의 FTTH(Fiber To The Home) 가입자들에게 단일 광케이블을 통해 방송과 통신의 동시 서비스를 가능하게 하는 수동형 광 네트워크에서의 방송 데이터 서비스 시스템 및 서비스 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명이 개시하는 수동형 광 네트워크에서의 방송 데이터 서비스 시스템은 방송 데이터를 이더넷 프레임 형태로 구성하고 인터넷 데이터와 상기 이더넷 프레임 형태의 방송 데이터를 다중화하여 EPON 프레임으로 변환하는 OLT; 상기 OLT로부터 상기 EPON 프레임을 전송받아 가입자단에 분배하기 위해 상기 가입자단의 수만큼 상기 EPON 프레임을 복제하는 광 분배기; 및 상기 광 분배기로부터 상기 복제된 EPON 프레임을 전송받아 방송 프레임과 인터넷 프레임으로 구분한 후 최종 사용자에 전송하는 ONT를 포함하여 본 발명의 목적 및 기술적 과제를 달성한다.-

Abstract: A system for and a method of providing an integrated communications and broadcasting service are provided. This system includes a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter converts a CATV broadcasting signal and a satellite broadcasting signal into a CATV broadcasting optical signal and a satellite broadcasting optical signal having predetermined wavelengths, wavelength-multiplexes the two broadcasting optical signals, and wavelength-multiplexes a wavelength-multiplexed broadcasting optical signal with an Internet data signal to transmit an integrated communications and broadcasting optical signal via a predetermined optical fiber. The receiver receives the integrated communications and broadcasting optical signal from the transmitter, demultiplexes the received signal according to a wavelength band, converts the CATV broadcasting optical signal, the satellite broadcasting optical signal, and the Internet data signal, into which the received signal is demultiplexed, into RF signals, and transports the RF signals to appropriate terminals.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for clock synchronization between a dual switch board and a line connection board is provided, which achieves clock synchronization between the switch board and the line connection board, and supplies a stable clock to each line connection board. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises two dual switch boards(210,220) performing switching according to a switching signal and a plurality of line connection boards(230,240) connected to the switch boards by a signal line to transmit a synchronous clock. Each switch board includes a switching part(211,221) performing switching according to the switching signal and generating a control signal indicating dual state by exchanging the dual control signal between each switch board, and a synchronous clock circuit part(212,222) generating a self clock using a clock generated by an external synchronous reference clock or a clock generated by self oscillation and then supplying it to the switching part. The synchronous clock circuit part generates a synchronous clock using the clock generated by self oscillation or the external synchronous reference clock only when the present switching board is in an active state, and supplies the generated synchronous clock to the plurality of line connection boards through the signal line.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting system for a passive optical network(PON) is provided to receive digital broadcasting by using an existing Ethernet network and an Ethernet PON access network and apply an ONU(Optical Network Unit) located at the region which is crowded with users densely to the digital broadcasting. CONSTITUTION: An ONU(400) is comprised of a WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) filter(403), a physical layer and an MAC(Medium Access Protocol) layer of an E-PON(404), an Ethernet switch(405), a physical layer and a broadcasting MAC layer of an E-PON(406), a digital broadcasting processing unit(409) and a channel requisition processing unit(410). The ONU(400) functions as a matching unit of an OLT(Optical Line Terminal) and a splitter(350) for transmitting digital broadcasting Ethernet frame and data Ethernet frame which have other wavelengths through one line. Data Ethernet frame is inputted to the Ethernet switch(405) through the physical layer and the MAC layer of the E-PON(404). Digital broadcasting Ethernet frame is changed into the MPEG stream type through the physical layer and the broadcasting MAC layer of the E-PON(406) and then inputted to the digital broadcasting processing unit(409).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A network processor having a packet generator for a test inside and a method for testing a packet path using the same are provided to generates packets for the test without complex software procedures, thereby executing a path test of the packets with only network processor. CONSTITUTION: A packet generator(407) for a test is installed between a physical layer interface(401) and a switch interface(403). The packet generator(407) generates packets for a test under the control of a processor for packet processing, so that the packet generator(407) provides the generated packets to the physical layer interface(401) or the switch interface(403). The packet generator(407) generates the packets appropriate for the physical layer interface(401) or the switch interface(403) according to kinds of interfaces to be tested. The processor for packet processing sets up a loop back path for executing the test.
