Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for reducing noise of a vehicle is provided to reduce noise by varying the resonance length to make a resonant frequency according to the pressure of inflow gas or air. CONSTITUTION: A resonance tube(2) is connected with a main tube(1) and the length between the ends of the resonance tube is a resonance length. A self varying deice(4) adjusts the resonant length to vary the range of resonant wavelength by the pressure to the resonant tube. Thereby, the length to form a resonant frequency is changed and noise is reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A deciding method of a road surface at an ABS(Anti-Lock Brake System) control is provided to secure the stable braking distance by stably controlling braking pressure. CONSTITUTION: A frequency to generate braking force is counted when a braking control of front wheels is performed. In detecting braking force of rear wheels, the counted value is compared with preset standard values(S105). A controller decides as a tough road surface when the counted value is over a first standard value(S106). The controller decides as a normal road surface when the counted value is over a second standard value(S108). Otherwise, the controller decides as a fine road surface(S109). The controller controls a duty for driving an actuator according to speed of a vehicle, speed of wheels and the condition of the road surface. Thereby, the braking distance is reduced and the steering quality is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A muffler of a vehicle is provided to tune low frequency at the range of exhaust booming noise by bending an end of an insertion pipe to a cavity and extending the bending part, and to improve driving experience by reducing noise. CONSTITUTION: A muffler for a vehicle is composed of a first pipe(32), a second pipe(34), a baffle(36), and an end plate(38) and an insertion pipe(40). The end of the insertion pipe is bent to a cavity(42), and a bending part(44) is formed with bending the insertion pipe and extending. The bending part is passed through the vertical center line of the muffler, and lengthened to satisfy a Helmholtz resonator. The bending part is formed in the insertion pipe, and supported with a supporting bracket between the second pipe and the bending part. Exhaust gas from the muffler is discharged to the second pipe through a first hole(46) and a second hole(48). Tuning is performed at low frequency regardless of the length of the insertion pipe in the muffler by bending the insertion pipe.
