    Abstract: PURPOSE: A variable resonator reacting to the temperature of an intake air of an engine is provided to change structural characteristics of the resonator according to the temperature change of air flowed into the engine so as to always obtain optimal noise reduction effect of the resonator. CONSTITUTION: A variable resonator(10,20) reacting to the temperature of an intake air comprises a sensor(1) for intake air temperature measuring the temperature of air flowed into the engine, regulation plates(12,22) for the neck cut end installed to regulate the area of the cut end of the resonator neck, a driving unit driving the regulation plate for the neck cut end, and a controller(2) controlling the driving unit according to the signal received from the sensor for intake air temperature.
