    Abstract: A driver variable type headway time setting system and a method are provided to execute an ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control) operation according to rainy days, the size of the preceding vehicle, and traffic situation by learning the preceding vehicle tracking pattern of the driver in real time according to the driver's intension. In a driver variable type headway time setting system, an ACC HMI(Human Machine Interface) device(10) consists of a main button(11), a cancel button(12), a resume/plus button(13), a set/minus button(14) a headway button(15) and a memory button(16). The memory button executes learning for setting headway time in an ACC system automatically controlling vehicle speed according to the traveling situation of a vehicle, and the set/minus button stores the set headway time after learning. An interval distance radar(20) detects the preceding vehicle by irradiating a laser beam to the front area of the vehicle and distance between own vehicle and the preceding vehicle. A vehicle speed sensor(50) detects the present speed of the traveling vehicle. An ACC control unit(30) calculates the headway time on the basis of vehicle speed and interval distance in pushing the memory button and sets the headway time by learning and computing a preceding vehicle tracking pattern of a driver in real time by the calculated headway time. The ACC control unit stores the set headway time in pushing the set button.

    Abstract: A window explosive type emergency escape device for a bus is provided to permits passengers to escape through the removed window by exploding the window positioned at the opposite side from a bus roll over direction in the case of bus roll over. A window explosive type emergency escape device for a bus, includes an operating member(1), a relay unit(10), and left and right controllers(20,20'). The operating member includes a case arranged along the roof of the bus, a movable mass(3) arranged in a center chamber(2a) formed in the case such that the movable mass moves toward a tilted direction by the acceleration of gravity generated during roll over of the bus, and a contact connection member for contacting the movable mass and generating a contact connection signal. The relay unit includes left and right relays(12,14) for forming a power circuit through left and right connection lines(11,13) connected to wires(9,9') led out from both sides of the case. The left and right controllers fire an explosive to break the window of the bus positioned oppositely from the tilted side of the bus, from left and right explosives(30,30') arranged at both windows of the bus, in accordance with whether a contact of the relay unit is connected or disconnected.
