CONSTITUTION: A device for operating a carrier of a spare tire for a vehicle comprises a handle member(20) rotatably installed in a fuel filler housing(11) and a power transfer unit(30) including plural crank handles(31,32,33) and combined with the handle member and a boss(4a) of a spare tire carrier(4) through a guide bracket(8) installed on a chassis frame. Upon rotating the handle, the power of the handle member is transmitted to the spare tire carrier. A chain(5) connected with the spare tire carrier is lowered downward by the rotational power of the handle member. Then, a tire is replaced by separating a support bracket combined with the chain from a spare tire.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An active roll control device of a vehicle is provided to improve traveling safety and riding comfort of a vehicle at the same time by preventing slanting of a body occurring according to the condition of road surface. CONSTITUTION: The suspension system of a vehicle is composed of an axle(20), a vehicle height sensor(40), a control unit(38), and an active roll control unit. The axle(20) supports to make the wheels of both sides rotate and the axle is a structure of rigid axle. The vehicle height sensor(40) installed between the body(36) and the axle(20) detects the rate of height change between the body(36) and the axle(20) according to change of height of the vehicle. The control unit(38) makes a drive control sign when the rate of height change is over the rate of height change preset and controls general actions for the active roll control of the vehicle. The active roll control unit forms a link mechanism by combining an upper rod adjusting the length and lower rod(22) for the length to be fixed and control roll of the vehicle by changing the whole length of the upper rod according to the drive control sign to be input from the control unit(38) with slant to the fixed direction between the body(36) and the axle(20). The active roll control unit includes an actuator(28) guiding for the other ends of the first and second rods(24,26) so as to move to the length direction fixed.

Abstract: A structure for coupling a lower arm and a steering knuckle of a front suspension is provided to adjust a camber and a caster by turning an eccentric ball joint having a ball part mounted on a mounting part of a lower arm and a coupling shaft combined to a coupling port of a steering knuckle to adjust the length of the lower arm and the steering knuckle, thereby optimally aligning the front suspension of the vehicle. A structure for coupling a lower arm and a steering knuckle of a front suspension comprises a lower arm(10) having a predetermined mounting part(11) on an inner one end, a steering knuckle(20) having a coupling port(21) disposed opposite the mounting part, and a ball joint(30). The ball joint has a ball part(31) mounting on the mounting part of the lower arm, and has a coupling shaft(32) eccentrically inserting into one end of the ball part. The coupling shaft is combined to the coupling port of the steering knuckle. The coupling shaft of the ball joint has an insertion port(33) for allowing various tools to be inserted. The insertion port is a hexagonal groove for allowing the ball joint to be turned by a hexagonal wrench. The turning of the ball joint allows the length of the lower arm and the steering knuckle to be adjusted, which in turn adjust a camber and a caster, aligning the front suspension of the vehicle.
