Abstract: A variable type muffler structure for a vehicle is provided to adjust bended diameter of a U-shaped pipe automatically according to exhaust gas pressure, to reduce a peeling phenomenon, to eliminate noise due to flowing speed and turbulence energy, and to have an effect favorable for back pressure by installing a diaphragm baffle and a U-shaped pipe. A variable type muffler structure for a vehicle comprises the followings: a muffler housing(20); a diaphragm baffle(50) installed in the housing; a variable U-shaped pipe(30) attached to the diaphragm baffle, bended diameter of which is changed according to a shape change of the diaphragm baffle; and an attaching unit connecting an outer peripheral end of the diaphragm baffle to an inner surface of the housing. The attaching unit further comprises a fixed guide on which the outer peripheral end of the diaphragm baffle is settled, a leaf spring connected to the outer peripheral end of the diaphragm baffle and moved radially on the fixed guide, and a hinge installed on a point where the fixed guide, one end of the leaf spring, and the diaphragm baffle meet, to smoothen radial movement of the diaphragm baffle on the fixed guide.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An exhaust pipe is provided to effectively reduce high frequency noise of exhaust gas through perforated holes and a reduced part formed on the inner tube. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust pipe comprises an outer tube(1a) and an inner tube(1b). A plurality of perforated holes(1d) are formed in the inner tube. A reduced part(1e) is formed on the exit side of the inner tube. The inner tube has a smaller diameter than the outer tube in order to be inserted into the outer tube. A space is formed between the outer surface of the inner tube and the inner surface of the outer tube so that exhaust gas can flow therethrough.
