Abstract: PURPOSE: An active headrest apparatus is provided to protect the head of a passenger, when the rear side impact of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An active headrest apparatus comprises a pressure plate(200), main vertical rods(400,402), a connection link, and a hinge shaft link(320). The pressure plate is adjacent to the back and the waist of a passenger. The main part vertical rod is connected to the lower part of a headrest(110). The connection link is installed between the pressure platen and the main vertical rod. The hinge shaft link is connected to the in-between of the connection link. Secondary vertical rods(600,602) with cam members(500,502) are installed in the rearward of the main vertical rod.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A reinforcing structure of a car body for a shock absorption is provided to reduce damage of passengers by dispersing shock energy to a car body floor and a front cross member and effectively transmitting resistance force to a side seal inner panel, a side seal outer panel and the rear floor front cross member. CONSTITUTION: A first fixing bracket(38) of a reinforcing bar(42) is fixed in the center of a side center panel(30). A protrusion is formed in the first fixing bracket of the reinforcing bar. A first inserting slot(46) is inclined to a floor panel(32). A second fixing bracket(40) of the reinforcing bar is stuck to a rear floor front cross member(34). A second inserting slot(48) is inclined to the side center panel. The both ends of the cylindrical reinforcing bar(42) are inserted in the first inserting slot and the second inserting slot. Thereby, the shock absorbing efficiency is improved and the weight is reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A structure for fabricating panels of a vehicle is provided to disperse local stress concentration around holes formed on the panels to be jointed together and prevent foreign material from flowing. CONSTITUTION: The first, second, and third panels comprising bottom side panels of a body is piled up around the holes formed for fabricating and jointed with a stiffening member(4) and a pin. In jointing, a stiffening member is put over toward the inside of the first panel positioned on the top and a pin is inserted in each holes. The stiffening member forms bent-up end to cover the pin protruded into the first panel. Therefore though shock is given to the part of hole of the first, second, and third panels, the bent-up end of the stiffening member welded around the hole of the first panel disperses the shock.
