Abstract: PURPOSE: A rear suspension device of coupled torsion beam axle type is provided to improve vehicle steering stability by inducing the vehicle position under steer to compensate over steer in cornering. CONSTITUTION: A rear suspension device of coupled torsion beam axle type comprises an axle unit(10), a driving unit(20), and a sensor unit(50). The axle unit is formed on the ends of right and left trailing arms(5) which are connected to both ends of a torsion beam(1). The driving unit is fixed to the trailing arms and connected to the axle unit to control the mounting angle of the axle unit. The sensor unit detects the lateral force actuating on the axle unit and outputs sensing signal to a controller(90).
