    Abstract: An adhesive contains a polymer and aminotriazine resin. The polymer is obtained by free radical addition polymerization from principal monomers (60 wt.% or more) chosen from 1-20C alkyl (meth)acrylate, vinyl esters of 20C or less carboxylic acid, 20C or less vinyl aromatic, ethylenically unsaturated nitrile, vinyl halide, vinyl ethers of 1-10C alcohol, and/or 2-8C aliphatic hydrocarbon having 1 or 2 double bonds. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) usage of the adhesive, which involves joining 2 substrates of plasticized polyvinyl chloride with the adhesive; and (2) self-adhesive component, which is obtained by applying the adhesive to plasticized polyvinyl chloride substrate material.
