Abstract: Compounds of the general formula I where the radicals A, A1 and B are identical or different and A is unsubstituted or substituted benzene or heteroaromatic, A1, if n=1, is unsubstituted or substituted heteroaromatic or is aryl which is unsubstituted or substituted by alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl, chlorine, bromine, hydroxyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, nitro, hydroxycarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, or aminocarbonyl, and, if n>1, A1 may also be aryl substituted by unsubstituted or substituted amino, B is a bridge member of the formula B1 is a bridge member which may or may not be quaternized, R1 and R2 are hydrogen, unsubstituted or substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkoxy or amino, n is an integer equal to or greater than 1 and X theta is an anion. The compounds according to the invention are preferably used for coloring paper pulp.
