PROCESS FOR PRODUCING N-BUTYRALDEHYDE AND/OR N-BUTANOL

    Abstract: The proposed process for producing n-butyraldehyde and/or n-butanol involves the following steps: (a) 1,3-butadiene is allowed to react with an amine of formula (I) R1R2NH, in which the groups independently of one another represent hydrogen, optionally substituted aliphatic or cyclo-aliphatic groups, or aryl or aralkyl groups, or are connected to a bridging unit which can contain heteroatoms, at high temperature and pressure and in the presence of a compound of a group VIIIb element, in the presence of an alkali metal amide, or in the presence of a basic metal oxide, to form a mixture of addition compounds of formula (II) and (III); (b) addition compound (III) is isomerised to addition compound (II); (c) addition compound (II) is isomerised in the presence of a homogeneous or heterogeneous transition metal catalyst in liquid phase or in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst containing transition metal in the gas phase to produce enamine of formula (IV); and (d) the enamine (IV) is converted, by reaction with hydrogen and water, or water, in the presence of a homogeneous or heterogeneous transition metal catalyst in liquid phase, in the presence of a heterogenous catalyst containing transition metal in the gas phase, in the presence of an acid or in the presence of one of the above mentioned catalysts and of an acid, to n-butyraldehyde and/or n-butanol, the amine (I) being released and the released amine (I) being led back into sub-reaction (a).

    Abstract: La presente invencion se refiere a la preparacion de un catalizador de hidrogenacion reduciendo platino en el estado de oxidacion +4 (PL (IV)), con un agente reductor selectivo en un medio acuoso ácido en presencia de un portador que contenga carbono, a platino en el estado de oxidacion +2 (PL (II)), después el envenenamiento del platino resultante con un agente reductor selectivo que contenga azufre y luego reduciendo el platino parcialmente envenenado en esta forma a platino metálico (PL (O)) y después el tratamiento en una forma conocida per se, en donde (a) el (PL (II)) es parcialmente envenenado con un agente reductor selectivo que contiene azufre, el agente reductor se utiliza en una cantidad que corresponde a 15-70% mol de la cantidad de un agente reductor selectivo que contiene azufre, que sería necesario para reducir Pt (IV)) a Pt (II), siempre y cuando la cantidad de Pt (IV) corresponda a la cantidad de Pt (II) utilizado y que se va a envenenar, y el Pt (II) parcialmente envenenado entonces se reduce con un formato de metal alcalino en Pt (0), o (b) El platino en un estado de oxidacion superior a +2 es parcialmente envenenado y se reduce posteriormente o en forma simultánea por medio de un formato de metal alcalino a Pt (0), y el catalizador de hidrogenacion, el uso del catalizador de hidrogenacion para la preparacion de sales de hidroxilamonio, los procesos para la preparacion de las sales de hidroxilamonio y un proceso para regenerar los catalizadores de hidrogenacion que contienen platino.
