Abstract: Aqueous dispersions of water-soluble polymers of N-vinylcarboxamides, which contain, as a stabilizer, water-soluble, crosslinked graft polymers which are obtainable by free radical polymerization of compounds having at least two ethylenically unsaturated double bonds in the presence of polyalkylene glycols, are prepared by free radical polymerization of N-vinylcarboxamides in an aqueous medium in the presence of said stabilizers and are used as drainage aids, flocculants and retention aids, as wet and dry strength agents and as fixing agents in papermaking.

Abstract: The invention relates to the production of a multi layer fiber web from c ellulose fibers by separately feeding of at least two different fiber suspen sions and water into a multi layer head box, wherein separating elements sep arate them from each other and from the water. After leaving the nozzle mout h of the head box, they are transported to a device on which a web is formed . The water is guided in a way, such that it ends up in form of a layer betw een two layers of fiber suspensions on the web forming device after exiting the nozzle mouth and thus prevents mixing of the different fiber suspensions . At least one retention agent and/or at least one dehydrating agent is dose d to the fiber suspension and/or to the added water to increase the retentio n, dehydration and formation.
