Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for modifying the structure of a cellulose material, wherein said material is brought in contact with a liquid treatment medium that comprises at least one ionic liquid.
Abstract:
An aqueous dispersion of a polymer, obtainable by emulsion polymerization of compounds (monomers) having unsaturated radicals in the presence of at least two different polymerization regulators A) and B), wherein A) is a compound selected from α-methylstyrene dimer and hydrocarbons which form a pentadienyl or 1-phenylallyl radical on abstraction of a hydrogen atom and B) is a compound having a mercapto group, the amount of B) being more than 2 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of monomers.
Abstract:
The presently claimed invention relates to use of an aqueous polymer latex as a binder or co- binder in a waterborne coating composition, wherein the aqueous polymer latex is obtained by polymerizing a monomer composition M, comprising at least one tert-butyl acrylate and/or tertbutyl methacrylate monomer, by radical emulsion polymerization.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a coating composition comprising: (a) 10% to 99.9% by weight of resin based on the total weight of the coating composition; and (b) 0.1 % to 20% by weight of a formaldehyde scavenger based on the total weight of the coating composition, wherein the formaldehyde scavenger has at least one active methylene hydrogen and is solid at room temperature. The invention relates to use of a coating composition for removing free formaldehyde from the environment, wherein the formaldehyde scavenger has at least one active methylene hydrogen and is solid at room temperature.
Abstract:
A pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising a synthetic polymer binder, wherein the polymer has been synthesized from 10% to 100% by weight of a C10 alkyl (meth)acrylate and the alkyl group of the C10 alkyl (meth)acrylate has a propyl group as substituent (referred to subsequently as C10 alkyl (meth)acrylate).
Abstract:
The invention relates to the production of a multi layer fiber web from c ellulose fibers by separately feeding of at least two different fiber suspen sions and water into a multi layer head box, wherein separating elements sep arate them from each other and from the water. After leaving the nozzle mout h of the head box, they are transported to a device on which a web is formed . The water is guided in a way, such that it ends up in form of a layer betw een two layers of fiber suspensions on the web forming device after exiting the nozzle mouth and thus prevents mixing of the different fiber suspensions . At least one retention agent and/or at least one dehydrating agent is dose d to the fiber suspension and/or to the added water to increase the retentio n, dehydration and formation.
