Abstract: The invention relates to a method for separating C5-C8 hydrocarbons and acid gases from a fluid stream. According to said method: a) the fluid stream is brought into contact with an absorbent containing at least one amine, in an absorption zone, producing a de-acified fluid stream and an absorbent charged with acid gases; b) the charged absorbent is heated in a first heat exchanger and is expanded in a de-compression zone to a pressure of between 5 and 10 bar, producing a gas phase containing C5-C8 hydrocarbons and a charged absorbent stripped of hydrocarbons; c) the charged absorbent stripped of hydrocarbons is heated in an optional second heat exchanger and is fed into a stripper, in which the acid gases are at least partially released at a pressure of between 1 and 2.5 bar by supplying heat, producing a re-generated absorbent and a stream containing acid gas; and d) the re-generated absorbent is fed back into the absorption zone. The re-generated absorbent is used as the heating medium in the second heat exchanger and is used as the heating medium in the first heat exchanger after passing through the second heat exchanger. The relative quantities of heat transferred in the first heat exchanger and in the second heat exchanger are weighted such that the gas phase containing C5-C8 hydrocarbons contains between 50 and 97 vol.-% acid gases.

Abstract: The invention relates to the use of an amine of formula (I) where the groups R1 to R5 are defined as they are in the description, as well as to an absorption agent and a method for removing acid gases from a fluid flow, particularly for selectively removing hydrogen sulphide over carbon dioxide. The invention also relates to certain amines suitable for selectively removing hydrogen sulphide. Absorption agents based on the amines of formula (I) have a high degree of selectivity, high loading capacity and good regeneration capacity.

Abstract: In a method for removing acid gases from a fluid stream, a) the fluid stream is treated in an absorption zone with an absorbent that comprises an aqueous solution of at least one amine, b) the treated fluid stream is conducted through at least two wash zones and is treated with a non-acidic aqueous phase in order to transfer entrained amine and/or entrained amine decomposition products at least in part into the aqueous phase, wherein aqueous phase is recycled through at least one wash zone and aqueous phase is conducted through at least one wash zone without recycling. The method permits an efficient retention of amines from the treated fluid streams.

Abstract: A process for removing acidic gases from a fluid stream, in which a) the fluid stream is treated with an absorption liquid which comprises at least one amine, a stripping aid and water, said stripping aid being selected from water-miscible liquids whose boiling temperature at standard pressure is lower than that of water, b) the treated fluid stream is treated with a liquid aqueous phase in order to transfer entrained stripping aid at least partly to the aqueous phase, c) the laden aqueous phase is heated in order to at least partly drive out the stripping aid, and d) the aqueous phase thus regenerated is cooled and recycled at least partly into step b). The stripping aid promotes the regeneration of the absorbent by stripping. Emissions of the stripping aid via the treated fluid stream are avoided by washing the treated fluid stream with a liquid aqueous phase.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for removing hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide from a stream of fluid, the method comprising: a) an absorption step, in which the stream of fluid is brought into contact with an absorption agent comprising an aqueous solution (i) of an amine of general formula (I), where R1, R2 and R3 are selected independently of one another from among C1-4 alkyl and C1-4 hydroxyalkyl; R4 in each case is independently selected from among hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl and C1-4 hydroxyalkyl; R5 in each case is selected from among hydrogen, C1-4 alkyl and C1-4 hydroxyalkyl; X represents OH or NH(CR1 R2R3); m represents 2, 3, 4 or 5; n represents 2, 3, 4 or 5; and o represents 0 or 1; and optionally (ii) at least one tertiary amine, the molar ratio of (i) to (ii) is greater than 0.05; wherein at least 90% of the hydrogen sulphide is removed from the stream of fluid, the selectivity for hydrogen sulphide in relation to carbon dioxide is no greater than 8 and a CO2- and H2S-loaded absorbent agent is thus obtained; b) a regeneration step, in which at least one sub-stream of the CO2- and H2S-loaded absorption agent is regenerated and a regenerated absorption agent is thus obtained; and c) a recirculation step, in which at least one sub-stream of the regenerated absorption agent is recirculated to the absorption step a). The method permits a high degree of separation of the hydrogen sulphide with a simultaneously high coabsorption of carbon dioxide.
