Abstract: There are provided novel 1-arylpyrazoles of the formula (I) in which R represents hydrogen or alkyl, R represents alkyl or haloalkyl, R represents hydrogen, halogen, or a radical where R and R independently of one another in each case represent hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl, Ar represents one of the radicals where A represents hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine, A represents fluorine or chlorine and A represents hydrogen or fluorine and n represents a number 0, 1 or 2, with the exception of the compound 5-amino-1-(2,5-difluoro- 4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-4-dichlorofluoromethylthio-pyrazole. The novel compounds of the formula (I) are outstandingly effective against insects and/or nematodes and can be employed as active substance in pesticides.

Such 5-sulphonamido-1-aryl-pyrazole being useful as a herbicide.
