Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the internal or the external expansion of a duct due to adsorption and blow by providing female screw members on the inwall faces of the duct and a male screw member connecting the female screw members to each other, inserting a bolt from the outside of the wall part of the duct and screwing the bolt with the female screw members. CONSTITUTION:A square glass wool duct 11 is an example of a duct having a reinforced constitution body 12 and two female screw members 13 make contact with the internal faces of the upper wall 11a and the opposing bottom wall 11b of the duct 11 via the flange parts of the members 13. Both boss parts 13b are screwed up with a male screw member 14 to connect the female members 13 with each other. Furthermore, two bolts 16 are inserted through the upper wall 11a and the bottom wall 11b of the duct 11 from the outside thereof and screwed with the female members 13 via washers 15 until tightened. As a result, the duct may sufficiently bear intake air and blow air and be reduced in resistance against fluid flow inside the duct.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the number of steps as well as the loss of material, by filling the groove of the lower die with resin powder, by fitting the beam of the upper die for welding in an integral body on heating under pressure, and by releasing the product from the cooled die for winding on the curved surface of a drum. CONSTITUTION:The lower die 1 has a mesh groove 2, and the upper die 3 has a mesh beam 4 fitted into the groove 2. The groove 2 of the lower die 1 is filled with polyethylene powder P of molecular weight 500,000-6,000,000. Next, the beam 4 of the upper die 3 is fitted into the groove 2 to compress the powder P up to 45-70%, and the upper and lower dies 1, 3 are raised in temperature to melt the powder P of the groove 2 for welding. Then, the dies 1, 3 are cooled to release the compression force, and the molding is taken out and immediately pressed on a cylindrical drum to cool down, resulting in formation of a curved surface. As multistage filling compression, the powder P is compressed by 10-50%, and the cavity space is filled again powder P after opening of the dies; then, the powder P is compressed by 10-60%.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the number production steps, avoid the generation of wasteful materials and enable easy formation of a synthetic resin net, by filling grooves of a lower metallic mold with a resin powder, and fusing the powder in a body by heating in a pressurized condition. CONSTITUTION:A lower metallic mold 1 is provided with reticulate grooves 2, and an upper metallic mold 3 is provided with reticulate protrusions 4 to be fitted into the grooves 2. The grooves 2 is filled with a powder P of polyethylene having a molecular weight of 50-5,000,000 to the brim of the grooves, then the upper mold 3 is mated, and the powder P is pressurized. The pressurization is so conducted as to achieve a 45-70% compression of the powder P. Next, the molds 1, 3 are heated to melt the powder P, thereby fusing the particles of the powder to each other. The maximum temperature in this heating is set to be not less than the melting point of the polyethylene. The molds 1, 3 are then cooled, the compressing force is released, and the molded product is taken out. Thus, the number of production steps is reduced, material loss is small, and there is no possibility of deterioration through oxidation.
