    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a lithium battery with high sealing performance at normal time and sure actuation in the event of abnormality and prevent electrodes from being exposed unnecessarily during and after actuation by furnishing a gas bleeder valve consisting of a gas bleeder piece and a crown lid at a battery jar which accommodates positive electrodes, negative electrodes, and electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A battery jar, in which positive electrodes 4, negative electrodes 5 containing lithium, and electrolyte are accommodated, is provided with a gas bleeder hole 7, and the base end of a cylindrical gas bleeder piece 9 is fixed to the battery jar in such a way as covering this gas bleeder hole 7 in the condition that the hollow part 15 of the gas bleeder piece is in communication with the gas bleeder hole 7. The periphery of the gas bleeder piece 9 is put in pressure contact by a ring-shaped inward projection 20 formed by pressing specified points on the periphery of a crown lid 13, in the form of a cylinder with head, inward along the circumference, and the crown lid 13 is fixed to the gas bleeder piece 9 while covering the opening at the tip of its hollow part. This provides high sealing performance at normal time and sure exhaustion of gas to outside the battery in the event of abnormal rise of the battery internal pressure associate with gas generation, and the electrodes will not be exposed unnecessarily during and after exhaustion of the gas.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make manufacture of a battery more effective by fixing subject metal to be alloyed directly at a battery cell by ultrasonic welding and using Li alloy for a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:Subject metal to be alloyed to compose Li in the alloy is fixed directly at a battery cell by ultrasonic welding without disposing a current collecting body between them. There is no particular restriction to be the alloy forming metal to form alloy of Li, so Al, Mg, In, Pb, Sn, Bi, Sb, Tl, Zn, Cd, etc., or alloy of any such metal may be used to be applicable to a purpose. An electrode of Li alloy can thus be produced easily and in a short time for a secondary battery using Li alloy, and a Li alloy electrode where almost no Li exists can be obtained. A Li alloy electrode usable for a coin type battery, a button type battery, or a thin battery can therefore be produced with advantages concerning workability, cost, etc.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the internal resistance of a battery, to increase the energy density, and to enhance productivity by forming the current collector of a battery using a conductive polymer film as the active material of an electrode in a specified position. CONSTITUTION:In a battery using a conductive polymer film as the active material of a positive electrode and/or a negative electrode, a current collector is embedded in the active material film so as to locate in the position of 3/10-7/10 the thickness of the film and one end of the current collector is exposed from the active material film and connected to a given electrode. The current collector made of metal such as titanium is used as the polymerization electrode, and the polymer of aniline or its derivative is deposited on both sides of the current collector so as to have a given thickness. By using this electrode, a battery having low internal resistance and high energy density can be produced by a simple process.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the discharge capacity or the energy density and to elongate the life time of the charge and discharge cycles of a cell by using an organic electro-conductive high molecular material as the positive electrode and making the concentration of the electrolyte in the electrolytic solution higher than 1mol/l and lower than 6mol/l. CONSTITUTION:An organic electro-conductive high molecular material is used for the positive electrode of a cell and the concentration of the electrolyte in the electrolytic solution is made higher than 1mol/l and lower than 6mol/l. As for the organic electro-conductive high molecular material e.g. a polymer of benzene and its derivatives such as polyacetylene, polyaniline and so on and a polymer of hetero- or polynuclear aromatic compounds such as polypyridine, naphthalene and so on can be used. Especially polyaniline obtained by electrolytic oxidation polymerization is produced with good adhesion to the positive electrode substrate at the time of electrolytic oxidation polymeriza tion, and moreover the anode substrate can be used as the collector or the vessel of the electrodes of the cell. Thereby a cell excellent in cell performance such as the discharge capacity, the energy density and the charge and discharge cycle life time and so on can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance durability in repeated charge-discharge in spite of small size using polyaniline as a positive active material, lithium alloy as a negative active material, and in addition, by limiting the effective amount of lithium polyaniline in a specified range. CONSTITUTION:In a lithium alloy used in a negative active materials of a secondary battery, the effective amount of lithium which participates in charge- discharge by electrochemically absorbing and desorbing ions is limited to 4X10 -170X10 mol, preferably to 4X10 -130X10 mol per 1g of polyaniline serving as a positive active material. If the effective amount of lithium is less than 4X10 mol, charge current is increased with increase in the number of charge-discharge cycles, and discharge capacity is decreased, and polyaniline is dissolved. This secondary battery shows 1,000-2,000 charge-discharge cycles at a discharge capacity of 1mA, and is used for IC memory backup of personal computers.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the charge/discharge characteristic and to reduce the size and the thickness by integrating a negative electrode employing a lithium alloy as a negative electrode active material and an outer can, thereby preventing increase of the inner resistance caused by insufficient electrical contact. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum base disc is spot welded to the inside of a stainless steel outer can. While employing the aluminum section of the integrated aluminum base/outer can as a functioning electrode, lithium metal as a pair electrode and propylene carbonate solution of LiClO4 as electrolyte, an integrated unit of negative electrode and outer can is formed through such method as the aluminum base body is lithium alloyed to produce a lithium-aluminum alloy. Then it is combined with a positive electrode employing polyaniline as an active material to form a coin type cell. Consequently, the electrical contact performance is improved and the inner resistance is reduced, while the size and thickness can be reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a coveyer belt suitable for conveying adhesive material such as oil sand or the like by forming the belt by one or moer cover layers containing surface tack eliminator and a core material layer, and interposing layers for preventing migration of surface tack eliminator between both layers. CONSTITUTION:A conveyer belt is formed by stacking a core material layer 2 formed by a metallic cord such as steel or the like, nylon, natural rubber and so on, cover layers 3 formed by mixing material having small interfacial tension and critical surface energy as a surface tack eliminator with methacrylic resin or the like, and migration preventive layers 4 formed by compound material of fiber layer, plastic layer and rubber layer, which are interposed therebetween.
