Abstract:
An electrolyte for dye-sensitized solar cells, wherein an oxidation-reduction substance is carried by a vulcanized rubber, a phosphazene polymer, a porous body comprising a high molecular material which has a three-dimensional continuous network skeleton structure, or an EVA resin film. A dye-sensitized solar cell comprising dye-sensitized semiconductor electrodes 2, 3, a counter electrode 4 arranged at an opposed position to the electrodes, and an electrolyte 6 between the electrodes 2, 3 and the electrode 4. A solid electrolyte for dye-sensitized solar cells effective in improving the generation efficiency, durability, and safety of dye-sensitized solar cells and can be manufactured inexpensively.
Abstract:
An element of a shoe is claimed, with a polymer compsn. (I)contg. (A) a composite material contg. (a1) a low-mol. wt. material with a viscosity of up to 500 Pa.s at 100 deg C. in (a2) a carrier material, and (B) a polymer material; the difference in solubility parameters are up to 3.0 between (a1) and (a2) and up to 4.0 between (a1) and (B), and the components are present in wt. ratios of (a1):(A2) = \- 1 and (a1):(B) = \- 0.5.
Abstract:
A first air bag comprises an upper cloth and a lower cloth, the peripheries of the both cloths being connected, characterized in that the upper cloth consists of an airtight sheet obtained by weaving a composite fiber composed of a filament core and a thermoplastic polymer bonded thereto which has a melting point lower than that of said filament core, and then fusing said thermoplastic polymer so that the surface of said upper cloth has a continuous thermoplastic polymer layer. A second air bag consists of a membranous material having a breaking extension of 100% or more. A third air bag comprises an elastomer body and a shape-retaining member partially attached to the elastomer body, said member being composed of elastic fibers or threads and high-modulus fibers.
Abstract:
There are disclosed a thermoplastic elastomer composition which comprises (a) a hydrogenated block copolymer obtained by hydrogenating the block copolymer comprising at least one polymer block composed principally of a vinylic aromatic compound and at least one polymer block composed principally of a conjugated diene compound; (b) a non-aromatic base softening agent having a kinematic viscosity at 40 DEG C of at least 100 mm /sec; and (c) propylene homopolymer and/or propylene copolymer comprising propylene as a principal component which is obtained through polymerization by using a metallocene catalyst, which is free from a lubricant, which has been heat treated, or which has a MFR (melt flow rate) in a specific range; a gasket material which comprises the above thermoplastic elastomer composition and is particularly suited for use in hard disc units because of its excellent sealing properties and its capability of preventing gas generation; a method for injection molding the above composition; an external anti-sticking agent for a thermoplastic elastomer or rubber which comprises fine particulates of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene having an average particle diameter in a specific range, and which is minimized in hygroscopicity, oil absorptivity and volatility, and has high heat resistance and anti-stickiness; and rubber and/or a thermoplastic elastomer which is incorporated with the above external anti-sticking agent and imparted with anti-stickiness.

Abstract:
A paper feed roll is formed of a rubber composition comprising (A) a composite material having a low molecular weight material retained in a medium material and (B) a rubber material. The low molecular weight material has a viscosity of up to 5x10 centipoise at 100 DEG C. The difference in solubility parameter between the low molecular weight material and the medium material is up to 3.0. The weight ratio of the low molecular weight material to the medium material is at least 1.0. The difference in solubility parameter between the low molecular weight material and the rubber material is up to 4.0. A paper feed apparatus comprising the paper feed roll is also provided.
