Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the separation resistance of a belt and a carcass turned part by shifting the upper area part of the side wall part of a carcass line to the tire rotating directional inside, and protruding the lower area part to the outside. SOLUTION: A carcass line 1 is situated in the tire inner side from a carcass line 1' of natural equilibrated shape in the area of a tread part 5. In the upper area 7 of a side wall part extending from a tread grounding width end 4 to a tire maximum width position 6 in charge of a normal internal pressure, the carcass line 1 in at least a part of the upper area of the side wall part in charge of a minute pressure (5%) is situated on the tire outer side of the carcass line 1' with a curvature radius larger than the carcass line 1' of natural equilibrated form. In the lower area of the side wall extended from the position corresponding to the maximum width position 6 in the minute pressure charge to the contact with the flange of a rim, the carcass line 1 is situated on the tire inner side from the carcass line 1' of natural equilibrated form.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent separation of a transportation layer by forming a crown reinforce layer of a belt, which is arranged between a carcass and belt transportion layer, through orientation of specific cords, etc., in a certain direction, and by specifying the distance of the equator surface from the outer end in the width direction. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire has transposition layers 1, 2 of belt reinforced by a number of cords or filaments intersecting with the equator pinched at an inclination angle of 10 deg.-40 deg. to the tire equator. A crown reinforce layer 3 is provided on the inside of these transposition layers 1, 2. In this crown reinforce layer 3, corrugated or zigzagged cords or filaments as reinforcing elements are oriented substantially in parallel with the equator. The distance of the equator surface from the width direction outer end of this crown reinforce layer 3 shall be set within the range 25-47.5% of the actual cord transposition area max. width in the transposition layers 1, 2.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a tire for bus and the like by mounting the tire onto a rim having narrower width than that of a standard rim and filling inner pressure of predetermined % that of regular level thereby specifying carcass profile of cross-section in radial direction under no-load state. CONSTITUTION:In a tire to be mounted on a rim narrower than a standard rim and filled inner pressure of 5% that of regular level while having maximum height H of carcass line C (hereafter, referred to carcass C) under no-load and rim width W, a balanced curve N passing through a contact point A be tween tangential lines m, m' at the widest point of the carcass C and cross points B, D between the carcass C and normals p, p' at points separated by a distance 0.45W (W represents rim width) from an equator face M is obtained. The profile of the carcass is set such that the distance (u) between the contact points E and A of the curve N and the tangential lines m, m', intervals (s), (t) between the curve N and the carcass C in the upper and lower regions of the sidewall satisfy the formulae I-III respectively. By such arrangement, durabil ity can be improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To strengthen the periphery around bolt holes so as to increase fatigue resistance by providing the front section around bolt holes in a rim as well as a disc consisting of a wheel main body with residual compressive stress. CONSTITUTION:A wheel main body 11 includes a disc 12 and a rim 13 fixed on the outer circumference 12a of the disc 12. And the disc 12 includes a hub hole 16 loosely engaged with a hub 15 to be connected with an axle at its center section 12b as well as plural bolt holes 18 on the pitch circle 17 concentrical with the hub hole 16 at the outside of the hub hole 16. In this constitution, the front section 12c of the bolt holes 18 in the disc 12 is provided with a residual compressive area 20. And the residual compressive stress area 20 is established from a pitch circle 17 over to a concentric circle with a diameter D21 equivalent to that of 1.2 times as large as the diameter D17 of the pitch circle 17. This construction thereby strengthens the periphery of the bolt holes 18 for increasing fatigue resistance.

SOLUTION: A number of small holes 24 are formed in the vicinity of the center side end parts of the block land parts of small parts 22A, 22D when a block land part 18 is divided by a plurality of sipes 20, and the vicinities of these end parts are softened (compression rigidity is lowered). Even though the block land part 18 is inclined and deformed at the time of braking and driving, the vicinities of these end parts are easily grounded, and the grounding contact areas of the small land parts 22A, 22D can be enlarged more than the conventional cases. On the other hand, distortion distribution is made optimum which is generated inside the tire under deformation toward the inside of the tire axial direction at least at a part of an upper region 7 of a side wall part from the end of the tire grounding width to the tire maximum width position 6 after filled to the regular internal pressure, and the deformation extending outward in the tire axial direction in a lower region 9 of the side wall part from the tire maximum width position 6 after filling to the regular internal pressure to a contact point with a rim flange.
