Abstract:
PURPOSE:To expand a range of the applicable temperature of a tubeless tire for heavy load with a layer of inner liners by forming said layer with three layers and also forming the medium layer solely with halogenated butyl polymer and the inner layer with NR compound. CONSTITUTION:An inner liner layer R is formed in three layers of an internal layer R1, external layer R3 and medium layer R2, and the internal layer R1 is arranged in the range of a tire shoulder, while it is composed of natural rubber of 15-60 weight part and, the rest, compound of halogenated butyl polymer. The medium layer R2, different from rubber part of a rubber compound of the external layer R3, is formed solely by halogenated butyl polymer. Thus, since rust on cord, lowering of adhesion or the like due to infiltration of moisture into the medium layer R2 are prevented and internal crack in the vicinity of a shoulder range in a cold district can also be prevented due to rubber composition of the inner layer R1, all-round use of the tire is possible through expansion of the range of the applicable temperature.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring an old rubber gauge of a buff tire capable of efficiently and accurately measuring the old rubber gauge and improving operability of buffing. SOLUTION: The method for measuring the old rubber gauge of the buff tire comprises the steps of converting the oil rubber gauge (g) of a thickness from an outer peripheral surface of the buff tire to be remolded to a belt layer and a detecting voltage of an eddy current sensor according to a conversion method predetermined at each type of a belt structure, and calculating a real distance of the old rubber gauge. A method for buffing comprises the steps of measuring the old rubber gauge (g) of the thickness from the outer peripheral surface of the buff tire T2 to be molded in which buffing is executed for an outer peripheral length of a temporary buff by the eddy current sensor, calculating the outer peripheral length Lb of the belt from the outer peripheral length Lo of the temporary buff and the measured old rubber gauge (g), classifying the outer peripheral length Lb of the belt according to an allowed range without obstacle in performance, deciding the outer peripheral length Lc of the one buff at each class of the outer peripheral length Lb of the belt, cutting the outer periphery of the buff tire based on the decided outer peripheral length Lc of the buff, and forming a final trapezoidal tire T3.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a tire-deformation failure at the time of a manufacture through a year. SOLUTION: It can be prevented that a cord of a first carcass up ply 20 is heat-shrunk after completion of a post cure inflation step by employing a material having a higher heat-shrinkage beginning temperature than a cord temperature at the time of completion of the post cure inflation for the cord of the first carcass up ply 20. Since the cord of the first carcass up ply 20 has a heat-shrinkage coefficient within a range of 40-75% of that of a cord of a third carcass up ply 24, the shrinkage of the cord of the third carcass up ply 24 is larger than that of the cord of the first carcass up ply 20. Therefore a stress caused by a shrinkage of a whole tire can be relieved and the shrinkage of the whole tire can be uniformly small.

PURPOSE:To improve a high speed durability, a turning stability and a road surface gripping force by constituting a belt ply arranged on the outside of a carcass ply at a tire crown portion, with a cross belt ply and a spiral belt ply. CONSTITUTION:A motorcycle tire has a tread portion 1, a sidewall portion 2 extending toward the inner part of a radial direction from its both ends and bead portions 3. The tire is equipped with an at least more than 1 ply carcass 5 with both ends turned up around bead cores 4 and whose cord angle is arranged in the range of 75-90 degrees against the circumferential direction of the tire, and a belt ply 6 arranged in its outer part. In this instance, the belt ply 6 is constituted with more than 2 cross belt plies 7 whose cord angle against the tire circumferential direction is 30-10 degrees, and a more than 1 spiral ply 8 whose cord angle is virtually 0 degree, and the spiral ply 8 is to be arranged between respective plies 5, 7.

PURPOSE:To prevent possible damage due to peeling and cord cutting at the end of a carcass ply by installing a reinforcing rubber layer mixed with short fibers under the relationship of the specifically relative location from the end of the carcass ply of a pneumatic tire toward the radial direction inside and outside. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire 1 includes a carcass ply 6 which is composed of numbers of rubber coated layer 6a, both ends 6b of which are turned up at bead toes 2 and then fixed on bead wires 3. The both ends 6b of the carcass ply 6 are positioned inside in the radial direction from radially extended outer ends 5b of franges 5a of rims 5. In this case, a reinforcing rubber layer 11 mixed with short fibers is installed so as to extend itself from the end 6c of the carcass ply 6 to the radial direction inside and outside. And the distances from the end 6c to the radially extended outer ends 11a and 11b of the reinforcing rubber layer 11, are set to be from 5-15mm respectively.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control changes in rubber at a time of vulcanization so as to improve durability by employing a reinforcing rubber layer which is made of a composition of rubber with short fibers that have the stated dimension and are mixed with the stated ratio, in a place among a bead wire, a stiffner around the bead wire, and a carcass ply. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire 1 includes a carcass ply which is composed of rubber coated cords, both ends 5a of which are turned up at bead toes 2 and then fixed on bead wires 3, and stiffners 6 arranged on the outer surfaces of the bead wires 3 to the radial direction. In this case, a reinforcing rubber layer 7 is arranged in a place between the bead wire 3 and the stiffner 6 around the bead wire, and in a place between the bead wire 3 an the carcass ply 5. The reinforcing rubber 7 is made of a composition of rubber with short fibers of more than 8pts.wt. Here, the short fibers have an average diameter of smaller than 1mum, and a ratio L/D of more than 8 where L represents an average length of the short fibers while D represents their average diameter. And the above mentioned short fibers are arranged in the same direction as the bead wire 3 are arranged.
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve durability by setting a rubber sheet layer consisting of the rubber compound containing the short fiber having a specific dimension in a specific ratio at the edge part of a belt layer arranged in the tire crown part and/or the turned edge part of the carcass ply. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire has the carcass plies consisting of the rubber- applied cord layers in which a number of cords are arranged in parallel and the tire crown part in which the belt layer consisting of the rubber-applied cord layers consisting of the parallel arrangement of a number of cords. In this case, an end rubber consisting of the rubber compound containing at least three weight parts of the short fiber having an average diameter of 1mum or less and the ratio bet- ween the average length L and the average diameter D, i.e., L/D of 8 of more is set in the edge part of the above-described belt layer and/or the turned edge part of the cord part of the carcass ply. Further, the angle formed by the direction of arrangement of the cord and that of the short fiber in the rubber reinforced by short fiber is set at 0-30 deg..
Abstract:

CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire has the carcass plies consisting of the rubber- applied cord layers in which a number of cords are arranged in parallel, and the both edge parts of the carcass ply are turned at the bead part and engaged. In this case, a rubber-sheet layer which consists of short fiber having an average diameter of 1mum or less and the ratio between the average length L and the average diameter D, i.e., L/D of 8 or more and has a thickness of 0.2-2.0mm and can be vulca- nized is set between the carcass ply and the inner linear in the shoulder region of the tire. Further, the angle formed by the direction of arrangement of the thread in the carcass ply and that of the thread in the rubber reinforced by short fiber is set at 30-90 deg..
