    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve safety, making use of characteristics such as light weight, high strength and so on by forming a cord of carcass ply by fiber composed of a specified aromatic polyamide mixture and specifying the folding height of a bead portion of the carcass ply. CONSTITUTION:An organic fiber cord in a carcass ply arranged at a specified angle in the circumferential direction of a tire is formed by fiber composed of aromatic polyamide mixture. The aromatic polyamide mixture is let have the second polyamide and diaminobenzanilide unit at specified proportions. The fiber is set in such a manner that as raw yarn properties of matter, the strength is 18g/d or more, the cutting elongation is 4.0% or more, and the elongation when stress of 4.5g/d is applied is 1.2% or more. Further, the relation between the vertical height Hp(mm) above t//he intersection P of the bead base and the rim side to the turn-up end portion outward in the radial direction of a tire and the vertical height Hr(mm) above the intersection P to the rim end is set in such a manner as to satisfy the expression: Hp>=Hr+10(mm).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve safety, steering stability, and low fuel consumption performance by specifying the number of setting per prescribed width by using the ply cord made of highly stregthened aliphatic polyamide fibers. CONSTITUTION:The cord of a carcass ply with the bias cord arrangement in crossing at an angle of 30-45 deg. for the circumferential direction of a tire is formed by twisting aliphatic polyamide raw yarn filaments. When the twisting factor of the carcass ply cord is set NT, the strength of the carcass ply cord taken from the tire is set S(g/d), the modulus in 100% elongation of the coating rubber of the carcass ply cord is E(kg/cm ), the following relations shall be satisfied: 0.40 =9.1, E>22. Further, when the number of setting per 5cm in the tire center part of the carcass ply cord is set (y), the following relations shall be satisfied: y>=-0.1156S +29.283, y>=-0.191E+25.2.

SOLUTION: A rubber provided by vulcanizing a rubber composition containing 40-55 wt.pt. of carbon black, and 2.5-4.0 wt.pt. of mixture comprising sulfur and an organic thiosulfate compound expressed by the formula MO3S- S-(CH2)n-S-SO3M, per 100 wt.pt. of a diene-based rubber, preferably containing butadiene rubber with 95% or more of cis-isomer content, is arranged in a portion contacting with a road face of a tread part in a pneumatic tire. In the formula, (n) represents 3-10, and M represents one equivalent of lithium, potassium, sodium and the like.

SBR having a styrene content of 20-60%, 60-120 pts.wt. carbon black having an SA (specific surface for nitrogen adsorption) of 80-280m /g of N2 , and 5-40 pts.wt. rosin from natural resin, the rubber composition having a 25 deg.C JIS hardness in excess of 65 deg.. The rubber composition is arranged in a central rubber layer 20 of the tread section 14, and its hardness is higher than that of rubber layers 22, 24 in the tread side edges.
