SOLUTION: In the case of manufacturing an electron emitting element by forming an electron emitting part 5 through processes of dripping conductive thin film forming material solution on a part between opposite electrodes 2, 3 and thereafter heating and baking the same, such a solution is used as the solution dripped, that contains an organic metal compound (e.g. palladium acetate) and ether being the compound preferably expressed by a formula: R- O-(CH2 CH2 O)n-H, where R is C10-20 alkyl or alkenyl and (n) is 4-50). Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of positional deviation during assemblage by making softening temps. T1, T2 of adhesives used to join several unit plates of the back plate or the front plate and to join the back plate or the front plate with a supporting frame satisfy the relation of T1>T2. CONSTITUTION:Four unit plates for the back plate 3 are joined with a low melting point glass a8 having 400 deg.C softening temp., while the back plate 3 and the front plate 2 are joined with a supporting frame 4 with a low melting point glass b9 having 390 deg.C softening temp. The four units of back plate 3 on which an electron emitting part is formed are disposed on a supporting substrate 7 on which preliminarily a low melting point glass a8 is applied, fixed with a jig, and baked at 440 deg.C for 10min in a heating furnace. Then a low melting glass b9 is applied between the supporting frame 4 and the back plate 3 and the front plate 2. These members are fixed with a jig and baked at 430 deg.C for 10min. in a heating furnace. After baking, the device is slowly cooled. First, fluidity of the low melting point glass a8 having higher softening temp. decreases and the glass a8 is solidified. Then the low melting point glass b9 is solidified.

Particularly pref. examples of the cyclic compd. include a cyclodextrin comprising at least 6 alpha-D-glucopyranose groups which are alpha-1,4-bonded, thereby forming a cyclic compd. The effect of the cyclic compd. is remarkable. Of the cyclodextrin compds., alpha-cyclodextrin having 6 glucose molecules bonded so as to form a ring structure, gamma-cyclodextrin having 8 glucose molecules bonded and a maltosylcyclodextrin having a maltose bonded to the aforesaid cyclodextrin compds. for the purpose of improving solubility are most pref.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title ink which has excellent frequency response at a high frequency and discharge stability and good printing quality and fixation, by adding a specified additive to the ink for use in ink jet recording, which consists of a dye and a liquid medium. CONSTITUTION:0.2-20wt% dye (e.g., C.I. Food Black 2), 0.05-10wt% acetylene alcohol or glycol of formula I or II (wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 are each a 1-4C alkyl, an alkoxy or H) as an additive, and optionally, a dispersant, a surfactant, a viscosity modifier, etc. are dissolved or dispersed in a liquid medium consisting of water, an org. solvent (e.g., methyl alcohol) and a water-soluble high-boiling org. solvent (e.g., glycerol) to obtain an ink for use in ink jet recording, which has a surface tension of 35-65dyne/cm at 25 deg.C and a viscosity of not higher than 15cp. Recording is made by discharging liquid droplets of the through an orifice at a driving frequency of 1kHz or above and depositing them on a material to be recorded.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title ink which has excellent anti-foaming properties and good discharge stability in high-frequency drive, by forming the ink from a dye and a liquid medium and specifying the stability of foam. CONSTITUTION:0.2-20wt% dye (e.g., C.I. Food Black 2) and optionally, a dispersant, a secondary alcohol and/or an adduct of ethylene oxide with said alcohol, a surface tension modifier, a viscosity modifier, etc., are dissolved or dispersed in a liquid medium consisting of 50-90wt% water, 2-15wt% 5C or lower alkyl alcohol (e.g., ethylene glycol monomethyl ether) and a water- soluble high-boiling org. solvent (e.g., glycerol) to obtain an ink for use in ink jet recording, which has a surface tension of 35-65dyne/cm at 25 deg.C and a viscosity of not higher than 15cp and in which the stability of foam after 5min according to JIS K 3362 is 0mm and that of foam after 1min is 5mm or below. Recording is made by discharging droplets of the ink through an orifice at a driving frequency of 1kHz or above and depositing them on a material to be recorded.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a fine pattern not obtained heretofore by a resist-style method dispensing with a plate making process, by changing an ink applying condition in an ink jet resist-style method. CONSTITUTION:In an ink jet resist-style method having a process for patternwise applying ink containing a resist to cloth or cloth subjected to ground treatment by an ink jet system and a process for dyeing said cloth with a dye, resist-style ink or color resist-style ink is applied in an extremely simple manner and, by altering an ink applying condition, the ink applied part of the cloth is entirely subjected to protection against dyeing and the resist-style percentage thereof is changed if necessary. Therefore, the resist-style percentage of the cloth can be freely controlled like a dark color (a region almost not protected against dyeing)-a medium density (a region protected against dyeing to some extent)-a light color (a region protected against dyeing in the larger part) and a white color (a white color protected against dyeing in the whole part), as a result, a conventional problem of the monotone of a pattern is solved and a colorful pattern is formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable an economical and accurate print to be easily obtained, by applying patternwise an oxidant-containing ink to a cellulose fabric and dyeing the fabric with a vat dye. CONSTITUTION:A liquid containing an oxidizer is used as an ink for ink jet, and a cellulose fabric is dyed. The most excellent suitability for ink jet operations can be obtained by controlling the viscosity of the resist printing ink to or below about 30cP (at 25 deg.C) and the surface tension of the ink to within the range of about 30-65dyn/cm (at 25 deg.C). The cellulose fabric has high absorption of water base inks containing an oxidizer, is free of blotting or bleeding of the inks, and is highly reactive with dyes. Accordingly, fully satisfactory resist printing and color resist printing can be achieved even for fine patterns.
