Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable play by tone mixture and to reduce the cost of the electronic musical instrument by storing timbre data on 1st timbre specified by a timbre specifying means in normal mode into a 1st storage means and storing timbre data on 2nd timbre specified by a timbre specifying means in tone mode into a 2nd storage means. CONSTITUTION:The 1st timbre data are specified by timbre specifying means F1 and T1-T5 in normal mode through the operation of a mode switching means F2 and stored in the 1st storage means. In tone mixture mode, the 2nd timbre data are specified by the timbre specifying means F1 and T1-T5 in tone mixture mode and stored in the 2nd storage means. Consequently, unison (play) effect by tone mixture is easily obtained by the easy timbre specifying operation and the low-cost electronic musical instrument of simple constitution is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make ease of read of a unit of inputted numeric data, by displaying a character indicating the unit corresponding to a specified digit against a numeric data inputted with the operation of only registering keys. CONSTITUTION:When ''9'' in the 9-th digit is inputted through the operation of an registering key 11a, the operating signal is transmitted to a control section 12. ''9'' is counted on a counter 14. The value ''9'' counted at the counter 14 is given to a decoder 15 and a high level signal is outputted to a one shot circuit 16c via a signal line c from the decoder 15. A pulse is outputted from the circuit 16c, FFs 17a and 17b are reset and an FF17c is set. As a result, a high level signal is inputted to ''100 million and 10 thousand'' terminals of a unit display control section 17, and ''100 million'' is displayed at the 5-th digit of a display 18 and ''10 thousand'' is at the 1st digit. The pulse outputted from the circuit 16c is given to the section 12 via a signal line d. The control section 12 outputs a control signal to a storage section 13 and controls an X register.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book device to enable a user to comfortably browse a novel, etc., even when the size of a display area is restricted from the viewpoint of portability, etc. SOLUTION: An LCD display part 6 displays book data being a computerized book. A control part 2 successively sections the book data based on conditions prescribed in a section file 88 within the maximum number of characters capable of being displayed at once by the LCD display part 6 and successively displays the sectioned pieces of the book data of the respective sectioning units on the LCD display part 6. A fact that the book data is segmented after at least one of line feed, punctuation mark, parenthesis, comma, period or postpositional particle is prescribed in the section file 88.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device, etc., with excellent operability which can provide a proper display screen even when an image pickup device is placed at an arbitrary position and correctly reflect the position of an image picked-up spot (auxiliary light) in the display screen. SOLUTION: An image input part 2 which picks up an image of the display screen picks up an image of the display screen of a display part 3 and generates and supplies image data to a data processor 1. The data processor 1 extracts the position corresponding to a part in the display screen of the display part 3 that spot light emitted by a light emission part 4 impinges on and specifies which position in the display screen the position is through coordinate transformation. Then the display part 3 displays the spot at the specified position.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in an electronic commercial transaction by improving reliability in the verification of an authenticating device such as an IC card to be utilized for the electronic commercial transaction on a network. SOLUTION: An IC card 2 collates a password number inputted by operating a key input part 25 with a password number stored in a non-volatile memory 24 and when these numbers are matched, an identity authentication flag inside a RAM 22 is turned on. In the state of turning on the identity verification flag inside this RAM 22, the IC card can be utilized for the electronic commercial transaction. Concerning the IC card 2, the lapse of time from the ON of the identity verification flag inside the RAM 22 is measured by a timer 27. When the lapse of time reaches a prescribed value, a timer interrupting signal 27a is outputted and the identity authentication flag inside the RAM 22 is cleared.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it difficult to analyze secret information based on the measurement of current consumption or electromagnetic waves. SOLUTION: The operations of a program counter block 12 and a register block 17 are switched according to a switching signal S outputted from a time- division processing controlling part 19, and real processing based on secret information held in a flash memory 15 and false processing which does not use the secret information is executed in time-vision parallel. Thus, the influence of the false processing is mixed with current consumption or electromagnetic waves so that the secret information can be made difficult to analyze from the current consumption or the electromagnetic waves at that time. Also, hardware to be used for the processing is switched according to the switching signal S, and the time-division parallel processing is operated so that high speed processing can be realized by making it unnecessary to operate switching processing by software processing. Moreover, plural common hardware is used for the real processing and the false processing so that the secret information becomes more difficult to be analyzed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the data compressor realizing a higher compression rate and to decode a compression data string generated by the data compressor. SOLUTION: A control section 102 generates a command based on a longest coincident series detected for each of plural windows in an input memory 101 and each retrieval direction and writes it to a work memory 103. Different numbers are allocated to data being non-copy commands and with high frequency of use to generate a cross reference table. Then compressed data strings in the work memory 103 are read, the non-copy command using the data in the cross reference table is replaced with a table reference non-copy command and the result is written in an output memory 104. The compression data string is decoded depending on an identification code resulting from reading commands sequentially from the input memory 101 and expanded while being written in the output memory 104.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To give the nuance of a timbre characteristic to a sound signal to a sound which is modulated with a speech. CONSTITUTION:A musical sound signal with a scale specified by a scale specification part 1 is outputted from a musical sound generation part 13. This musical sound generation part 13 has output parts OUT1 and OUT2, and a 1st musical sound signal including harmonic frequencies in a wide band is outputted based upon the specified scale as a fundamental frequency from the OUT1 and a 2nd musical sound signal including only harmonic frequencies in a specific band is outputted from the OUT2. The musical sound signal from the out 1 and the musical sound signal from the OUT2 are modulated by a first and a 2nd spectrum modulation part 14, 15 by respective frequency bands with the external speech from a microphone part 4. Consequently, a musical sound signal which is affected greatly by the speech signal is outputted from the 1st spectrum modulation part 14 and a musical sound signal which is not affected by the speech signal so much is outputted from the 2nd spectrum modulation part 15. Both the outputs are mixed and supplied to an output part 8 through a power amplifier part 7, so that a sound is generated.
