    Abstract: A device for compensating for the dispersion of optical signals transmitted on a fibre optic line that consists of a variable pass Bragg graticule in a semiconductor material 4, 14, 24, of predetermined length, inserted at one end of the line 1, 11, 21. The graticule 4, 14, 24 is associated with a pair of electrodes connected to an adjustable source of current 6, 16, 26 whose value, for a given amplitude of wavelength interval present in the signals, depends on the difference between the length of the line and that of another line that would introduce to the signals a dispersion that can be compensated with a graticule of the same length, to which current is not applied.
