Abstract:
A collecting bag for human body wastes, particularly a stoma bag, with a bag member formed by two oblong plastic film blanks (1, 2) with joined edges, of which one blank (1) is designed with an inlet opening (3) for connection to a body orifice, particularly a stoma. Between the edge sections (6, 7) of said joined film blanks (1, 2) a narrowed outlet opening (5) is formed, which can be closed by means of a closure clip (8) with a central part (9) attached to one film blank (1) and projecting end sections (10, 11). At least the central part (9) of the closure clip (8) has along at least one of its longitudinal side edges a relatively soft, resilient edge zone (17, 18).
Abstract:
A convex adapter for use in connection with ostomy equipment comprises a ring-shaped member (10, 15, 18). The ring-shaped member (10, 15, 18) comprises a central, relatively rigid ring (10) with a convex face (12) as well as a peripheral, relatively flexible part (15) extending considerably longer and radially than the relatively rigid ring (10).
Abstract:
Abstract:
An adhesive, flat skin barrier product for use as semi-manufacture in the production of, a.o., dressings, wound-care devices, electrodes and fastening means for ostomy equipment and catheters, consists of alternating zones of material of at least two different kinds (26, 28, 30) at least one of which is a skinfriendly self-adhesive material. The zones are parallel and extend in a direction usually at right angles to the main surfaces of the product. The zones may for instance be parallel strips, co-axial rings, co-wound Archimedean spirals or short strands. The skin barrier product offers the advantage that in a simple way it may be produced to comprise, besides the sealing material itself, other components for special purposes, e.g. having contents of antiseptics, medicaments or other biologically active substances of liquid-transporting or electrically conductive structures.
Abstract:
A pair of scissors has two elements that are cross-wise rotationally movably assembled in a hinge, each of said elements consisting of a blade and an arm. The arms each terminate in a ring for a user's finger. The general direction of the blades and the arms in a closed position of the scissors is making an angle large enough to place both rings on the same side of an extension line of the general direction of the blades. The blades are curved and have different lengths and heights, the upper blade being the shorter and higher and optionally provided with a protruding nose part, and the lower blade is relatively narrow and provided with a bulb shaped tip and a chamfered and/or rounded inner edge said distal end of said back edge of said upper blade has a nose part protruding a distance (n1) from the distal end of the cutting edge of the upper blade and having a distance (n2) from the cutting edge of the lower blade in a closed position of the scissors.
Abstract:
The collecting bag comprises a bag member (1) formed by two film blanks with joined edges, an inlet opening being provided in one of said film blanks surrounded by connecting elements for connection of the bag to a body orifice. The bag is emptied through a narrowed, elongated discharge portion (8) ending in a discharge opening (9). Sealing plates (35a, 35b) made from a resilient material, e.g. foam, are attached to the discharge portion (8) at or near the discharge opening (9) to close the discharge opening by folding of the discharge portion (8).
Abstract:
An ostomy siting device for determining and marking the position of a possible stoma comprising a stoma simulating first element and a second element simulating an adhesive wafer of an ostomy appliance and an optionally separately detachable collecting bag, said ostomy siting device having on the proximal side an adhesive surface for removable adhering to the abdominal skin of an ostomate to be provided a readily repositionable and reusable system for simulating the placement and physical configuration of the stoma and the collection system and for marking the optimum position of the stoma to be.

Abstract:
A collecting bag system for human body wastes comprising a collecting bag with a bag element formed by two predeminantly oblong plastic film blanks with joined edges (1, 2) and with an inlet opening (3) surrounded by connecting elements (4) for connection to a body orifice, particularly a stoma, and a closeable outlet opening (5) in an end section of one plastic film blank (2). The outlet opening (5) is surrounded by a coupling ring (6) with an outwardly facing engagement flange (7), and the system further comprises a bag extension (21, 23) with a coupling ring (9) with a corresponding inward-facing engagement element (10) for dismountable, sealing coupling to the coupling ring (6) of the outlet opening (5). On the inside of the coupling ring (6) of the outlet opening (5) a closing membrane is placed with an annular coupling element (16) for a sealing, but releasable coupling with an inward-facing engagement element (18) on the coupling ring (6) of the outlet coupling (5).
Abstract:
A filter arrangement for a bag (1), in particular an ostomy bag with a vent (5), comprising a filter holder (7) fastened to the wall of the bag at the vent and having a through hole forming a passage from the interior of the bag to the surroundings, and a replaceable filter insert (8) designed for positioning in said hole. For position fixing of the filter insert in a use position, the filter holder has both means (13) for engagement with corresponding means (14) on the filter insert where the engagement means are designed such that upon positioning in the use position, the filter insert is prevented from being withdrawn from the filter holder, and within said engagement means has an elastically resilient clamping member (15) which in use position forms a sealing around the filter insert, but allows that this is pushed from the outside through the hole of the filter holder into the bag. The engagement means may be formed as an inwardly facing shoulder portion (13) in the filter holder (7) and a corresponding outwardly facing shoulder portion (14) on the filter insert (8). The filter insert has within said shoulder portion an internal conical end part with inwardly convergent cross section, and the elastically resilient clamping member (15) of the holder forms a sealing lip around said end part of the insert.
