Abstract:
A disposable ostomy receiving bag comprising front and rear walls sealed together along the rim thereof and having a top end and a bottom end wherein the top end of the rear wall is provided with an inlet opening, wherein the receiving bag is provided with a further cover of a sheet material covering one or both surfaces thereof wherein the cover sheet at at least one of the surfaces is provided with a cut defining a part of the cover which only covers a part of the corresponding wall and is only secured to the wall along the part of the rim being superimposed on the sealed rim of the front and rear walls. This folding reduces the size of the bag and keeps the folded end discreetly hidden under the cover sheet and thus ensures discretion. Furthermore, it allows for an easy enlargement of the active volume of the bag simply by withdrawing the end of the bag from under the cover sheet, should a larger collecting volume suddenly be needed in situations where there is difficult or no access to a rest room.
Abstract:
The ostomy receiving bag comprises a front wall (2) and a rear wall and has a top end and a bottom end. The top end of the rear wall is provided with an inlet to receive a stoma, and one wall is provided with at least one first half of a fixation pair (A), and the same effective wall after closure of the bag, if available, is provided with at least one second half of a fixation pair (B), such that when the first half and the second half of the fixation pair are attached, the volume of the receiving bag is reduced.

Abstract:
The collecting bag has a bag member (2) formed by a first and a second film blank (2, 3) , and a discharge portion (8) that is foldable and unfoldable to bring the discharge portion from an open unfolded condition to a closed folded condition and vice versa. A first plate member (21) is positioned on the first film blank (2) and a second plate member (22) is positioned on an extension (3a) of the second film blank (3) . A locking device is provided at the discharge portion for locking the bag in the closed folded condition of the discharge portion. Each plate member (21,22) is formed from a relatively stiff material, and the distance (d) between the distal edge (21b) of the first plate member (21) and the proximal edge (22a) of the second plate member (22) is smaller than the thickness of the first plate member.
Abstract:
An ostomy appliance comprising an adhesive barrier member (or base plate), said barrier member having a hole for receiving a stoma, ureter, or catheter and barrier wafer to be attached to the wearer's abdomen, back, or chest; an outer receiving member or bag releasably attached to the adhesive barrier member, said bag having a hole for receiving wastes exiting the stoma, ureter or catheter; and a disposable inner bag liner releasably attached to the adhesive barrier member wherein the disposable inner bag liner having a hole for receiving wastes exiting the stoma, ureter or catheter is attached releasably to the adhesive barrier member in a first coupling area by first coupling means and the outer receiving member is attached releasably to the adhesive barrier member by second coupling means, in which the first and second coupling areas are in the form of one or more coupling rings and the first and second coupling means are in the form of matching coupling rings and wherein the outer diameter of the first coupling means is smaller than the inner diameter of the second coupling means. Offers provide a separate, flushable inner bag enabling a safe, hygienic and discreet management of the collected waste with maximum safety against soiling parts thereof not to be substituted when changing the collecting bag.

Abstract:
The collecting bag comprises a bag member (1) formed by two film blanks with joined edges, an inlet opening being provided in one of said film blanks surrounded by connecting elements for connection of the bag to a body orifice. The bag is emptied through a narrowed, elongated discharge portion (8) ending in a discharge opening (9). Sealing plates (35a, 35b) made from a resilient material, e.g. foam, are attached to the discharge portion (8) at or near the discharge opening (9) to close the discharge opening by folding of the discharge portion (8).
