Abstract: In carrying out the hydrogenation stage of the anthraquinone process for the preparation of hydrogen peroxide in a hydrogenation reactor on a fixed bed catalyst of a particulate catalyst, the service life of the catalyst is increased in that the working solution comprising the reaction carrier and a gas phase comprising hydrogen, are passed through the hydrogenation reactor from the bottom upwards. The empty tube speed of the working solution is 0.05 to 100 m/h, preferably 10 to 50 m/h.

Abstract: In an aluminium oxide (I) catalyst for the synthesis of methyl mercaptan containing 5-25 wt.% potassium tungstate (II) as promoter with respect to active (I), (II) is deposited in 2 portions. (I) is first coated with the first portion of (II) by impregnation in excess aqueous solution, then dried at elevated temperature. Then the second portion is applied by pore volume impregnation. The catalyst precursor is then dried at elevated temperature and calcined at 200-600 degrees C.

Abstract: La presente invencion se refiere a un procedimiento para la preparacion continua de metilmercaptano por medio de la reaccion catalítica de metanol e hidrogeno sulfurado. La invencion incluye mejoras esenciales en la preparacion de la mezcla gaseosa de educto así como el aprovechamiento del calor de reaccion y del contenido de calor de la mezcla de gas de producto. La energía necesaria para la evaporacion del metanol se obtiene parcialmente por medio del aprovechamiento del calor de compresion para el gas de hidrogeno sulfurado así como por el contenido de calor de los gases de producto que salen del reactor.
