Abstract: Se proporcionan una bomba peristáltica y un método de sistema relacionado; la bomba peristáltica incluye un eje de leva, primera y segunda levas de válvula de pinza, primero y segundo seguidores de leva de válvula de pinza, una leva de émbolo, un seguidor de leva de émbolo, un receptor de tubo y un émbolo desviado por resorte; la primera y segunda levas dé válvula de pinza están acopladas al eje de leva; el primero y segundo seguidores de leva de válvula de pinza se enganchan a la primera y segunda levas de válvula de pinza, respectivamente; la leva de émbolo está acoplada al eje de leva; el seguidor de leva de émbolo se engancha con la leva de émbolo; el receptor de tubo está configurado para recibir un tubo; el émbolo desviado por resorte está acoplado al seguidor de leva de émbolo de modo que la expansión de la leva de émbolo a lo largo de un ángulo radial intersecta al seguidor de leva de émbolo mientras el eje de leva gira y empuja al seguidor de leva de émbolo hacia el émbolo y así desengancha el émbolo desviado por resorte del tubo; un resorte acoplado al émbolo desviado por resorte desvía al émbolo desviado por resorte para aplicar la fuerza de trituración al tubo.

Abstract: A peristaltic pump (3001), and related system method are provided. The peristaltic pump includes a housing having a first slot, a door (3021) pivotally coupled to the housing and having a platen configured to receive a tube (3210), the door configured to have a closed position and an open position (shown), wherein the door includes a second slot. The pump further includes a carrier, for containing a slide clamp (3200), having a pivot defining first (3040) and second (3045) portions pivotally coupled together. The first portion is slidingly disposed within the first slot of the housing, and the second portion is slidingly disposed within the second slot of door. The pump further comprises a lever handle pivotally coupled to the door and operatively coupled to the carrier. When the door is closed the lever handle is pivoted to engage with the door and housing to hold the door and housing in engagement. The lever may also provide a force on the platen to raise the platen and compress the tube (3210) between a plunger (3091) of the pump and the platen. When the lever is used to hold the door closed it also engages with the carrier to move the slide clamp so that fluid may flow through the tube. When the lever is released it also moves the slide clamp such that it clamps shut the tube and prevents flow through the tube.

Abstract: A peristaltic pump (719), and related system method are provided. The peristaltic pump includes a cam shaft, first and second pinch-valve cams (720, 726), first and second pinch-valve cam followers, a plunger cam (722), a plunger-cam follower, a tube receiver, and a spring-biased plunger (723, 724, 725). The first and second pinch-valve cams (720, 726) are coupled to the cam shaft. The first and second pinch-valve cam followers each engage the first and second pinch-valve cams, respectively. The plunger cam (722) is coupled to the cam shaft. The plunger-cam follower engages the plunger cam. The tube receiver is configured to receive a tube (728). The spring-biased plunger is coupled to the plunger-cam follower such that the expansion of the plunger cam along a radial angle intersecting the plunger-cam follower as the cam shaft rotates pushes the plunger cam follower towards the plunger and thereby disengages the spring-biased plunger from the tube. A spring coupled to the spring-biased plunger biases the spring-biased plunger to apply the crushing force to the tube (728). In other embodiments the plunger may be pivotally mounted to the pump housing.

The system includes a syringe having a plunger within the syringe barrel, the syringe having as exit end, at least one temperature determination device adjacent to the syringe, at least one device to determine the distance the plunger has moved with respect to the syringe barrel, and a pump processor in communication with the at least one temperature determination device and the at least one optical sensor, wherein when the controller determines a change in temperature and a corresponding plunger movement, the controller increases or decreases a preprogrammed basal rate of the infusion pump by a predetermined amount for a predetermined time.

Abstract: A system including a pumping cassette having a first side including number of valve wells and second side having a fluid bus. Each side may be covered by a flexible membrane. A control surface having a number of valve well control stations actuatable with respect to the flexible membrane covering the first side of the cassette to open and close the valve wells when the cassette is mated against the control surface may be included. A pressure distribution assembly having a positive and negative pressure source and a number of pneumatic valves may be included. A controller configured to selectively actuate the number of pneumatic valves to apply pressure against the valve well control stations in a valve pumping sequence until a volume displaced through the fluid bus of the pumping cassette from a source to a destination is within a range of a target volume may be included.
