    Abstract: An arrangement, system, and method for switching data packet flows in a communication system. A flow processing core classifies packet flows and defines processing flow sequences applicable to the packet flows. A distributing arrangement directs the packet flows to appropriate functional units or processors according to each packet flow's applicable processing flow sequence. The current position of each packet flow in its respective processing flow sequence is indicated. Packet flow sequence information may be determined so that reclassification of already classified packets is avoided.

    Abstract: A method is described for associating a data packet (DP) with a packet bearer (PB) in a user equipment (UE1) of a communication network. The data packet is sent in a data flow from an application function of the user equipment, the packet bearer (PB) is established with the user equipment to transmit the data packet (DP) over the communication network towards a further entity, and the user equipment is adapted to establish different packet bearers. The method comprises the steps of identifying the flow with the data packet in a control entity of the communication network, determining the packet bearer for association with said flow from the different packet bearers in a policy function of the control entity, determining a routing level identification of the further entity, instructing the user equipment to install a packet filter based on the routing level identification, wherein the packet filter associates data packets comprising the routing level identification of the further entity with the determined packet bearer, providing the routing level identification to the application function, including the routing level identification into the data packet, and forwarding the data packet (DP) on the determined packet bearer (PB). A corresponding network, control entity, monitoring entity and computer program are also described.

    Abstract: A terminal for wireless communication comprises a transceiver configured to selectively tune to a carrier of a multi-service network or to a carrier of a best-effort network and a processor comprising a do not disturb function.     Abstract: A method and system for transmitting specific information, such as access specific roaming information and/or application specific information, between a home network and a visiting access network is provided. The home network and visiting network are capable of communicating access independent information in a protocol, such as a AAA protocol. The access and/or application specific information is formatted in the AAA protocol. The access and/or application specific information is then transmitted over a public IP network between the home network and the visiting network. A system is provided for transmitting access and/or application information between a visiting network and a home network over a public IP network. A control access server in the visiting access network formats the access information using a secure AAA protocol to form formatted access information. An application server formats application specific information. A AAA-F server associated with the visiting network transmits the formatted access and/or application information over the public IP network to the home network.
